December 2017[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Mattythewhite. I noticed that you recently removed content from Diego Costa without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Image removed w/o explanation. My mistake[edit]

It was my mistake. My bad. It happened in a hurry. Just wasn't able to recover that picture again. Sorry for that again. Please add that again.

December 2017[edit]

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at Fernando Torres, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Mattythewhite (talk) 16:37, 12 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

In response to your edit summary, please refer to WP:BURDEN. The onus is on you, as the editor who added the content, to cite it. Mattythewhite (talk) 16:38, 12 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding unsourced content, as you did to Fernando Torres. This contravenes Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Content still largely unsourced. Mattythewhite (talk) 16:44, 16 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Okay[edit]

If u still think that is not appropriate, I can't help. Anyway sorry if u feel I was wrong.👍 Ninad05mestry (talk) 18:10, 16 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Content on the page Diego Forlan[edit]

I want to add some content on that page, which you removed by saying it was unsourced. I am attaching a source now, please tell if it is enough or not.

Source: http://indianexpress.com/article/sports/football/isl-2016-diego-forlan-hattrick-helps-mumbai-city-fc-trounce-kerala-blasters-4384735/

If u find that this source is good enough to add those words of mine, please reply. Ninad05mestry (talk) 05:56, 21 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

December 2017[edit]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you add unsourced material to Wikipedia, as you did at Diego Costa. Mattythewhite (talk) 19:04, 31 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Reply[edit]

Can't you just wait a few minutes. I am just adding the source. Ninad05mestry (talk) 19:08, 31 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Added Source in "Diego Costa" article[edit]

Atleast now you believe that I am not spamming???Just took some extra minutes to add that source. I am contributing in every possible way in which I can. And regarding that warning I think i shouldn't be blocked. Expecting a reply. Ninad05mestry (talk) 19:17, 31 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Do you want a medal or something? Mattythewhite (talk) 19:22, 31 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Not at all[edit]

I just want to say, you should have waited for some time so that I could have added the source. Regarding that medal or something, I think you should just allow me to do "legal" edits, rather than warning again and again. Ninad05mestry (talk) 19:27, 31 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Nope, you should have provided the source with your original edit. Mattythewhite (talk) 19:33, 31 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Okay[edit]

Can I just ask for some time around 2-3 minutes?? That's all I want to say. I actually forgot to add the source with the original edit. So I started to add the source, but the page said someone else has edited it. So I added the source next time. I hope that's enough. Thanks!! Ninad05mestry (talk) 19:43, 31 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Just do it in one edit. Use the preview function if needed. It's really not difficult. Mattythewhite (talk) 19:45, 31 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for July 29[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Thomas Lemar, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Winger (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

November 2018[edit]

Please stop adding unsourced content, as you did on Thomas Lemar. This violates Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Mattythewhite (talk) 15:33, 22 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hello from Portugal,

i disagree with all respects, and also, like i said in the edit summary, stuff like "regarded one the best defenders in the world" should not be part of the content at all, because it's not written anywhere in those articles and also because it's implied (a Ballon d'Or nominee should be a great player, of course); most of all, not that important stuff in his career (he was NOMINATED two times for an award during a - for now - 15-year career, did not win anything) so it should not go in intro.

Attentively --Quite A Character (talk) 17:56, 15 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • More Atlético Madrid: yes, titles in intro are definitely needed and a good mention, but no need for references there (OK they can be there, but it's not mandatory), and no need for stuff like "rivals" and who they beat here and there. Also, please don't repeat refs that already in text or honours (please see Vitolo (footballer, born 1989) as an example of my cleanup).

Merry Christmas --Quite A Character (talk) 12:08, 21 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • I don't think I was aggressive or similar to not merit any type of reply, but no worries. I have cleaned up Godín again, and removed the Ballon d'Or stuff again (but to make you happy, i'll file a report at WP:FOOTY). When I get home, Filipe Luís intro's turn. --Quite A Character (talk) 14:08, 21 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

You can leave your opinion here if you like (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Football). --Quite A Character (talk) 14:20, 21 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Álvaro Morata, you overlinked in his new club, intro was fine as it was and no need for an Atlético sub-section until the move (if!) is made permanent. Please leave it as it is. --Quite A Character (talk) 15:58, 29 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Whatever, i reinstated the Atlético Madrid headline. Rest is fine the way it is, please. --Quite A Character (talk) 15:59, 29 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think you understood it correctly: please, DO NOT link Atlético Madrid AGAIN, it's already there in the beginning of club career. Thanks, sorry for reverting all (but now, most of it has been re-inserted, only properly). --Quite A Character (talk) 16:17, 29 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Saúl Ñíguez, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Chelsea (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver).

(Opt-out instructions.) --DPL bot (talk) 14:57, 13 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello there,

clearly you have not heard still of WP:OVERDETAIL, so i explain. No need for a bunch of goals and appearances, unless they are really important (it's a WP guideline, i am not making up anything, please read it). Not even in the Champions League, OK? That could be a good addition in the season articles several clubs (including Atlético Madrid) have, but not in an individual player please (Saúl's article is very well sourced at this time).

Attentively (and please don't re-add this again and start an edit war), happy weekend --Quite A Character (talk) 04:14, 18 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Aren't goals against Liverpool, Dortmund, Real Madrid on the biggest stage important in a midfielder's career?

Ninad05mestry (talk) 05:28, 18 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Especially when all these goals were scored over period of 3-4 years Ninad05mestry (talk) 05:29, 18 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Already re-added some of that stuff, in the proper display. But goals/matches against Dortmund/Chelsea mean nothing unless they are relevant OK (not only for Saúl, for any player in the world)? Also, we don't need season-by-season storyline, with club section it's enough.

Cheers --Quite A Character (talk) 14:46, 18 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
