Hello[edit]

Good to see a fellow Wikipedian interested in issues Sri Lankan. But although you may think that this is a free for all situation we follow number of rules as this is an encylopedic project. Just like PJmdJIm said, clikck on the green button and start reading the basic rules. Most important rules are reliable sources, i.e we write here what others have published, we dont do Original research at all. We have to follow Nuetral language, all points have brought out and use Manual style of editing. I have been around a few years, so I too started like you at some point and eventually people showed me the correct way but I stayed put to create knowledge in a my chosen area for people to read. Happy editing. Kanatonian (talk) 13:29, 15 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I fixed up Nainativu as to how an encylopedic article should be. There is a habbit of confusing mythology as history in Sri Lanka. This is even done by Historians. Naga and Yakshas are mythological beings. Historically the only indigeous people of Sri Lanka are Veddas, not Nagas or Yakshas. We are not here to tell the truth but to reiterate what others have written from reliable sources. Once you understand the true purpose of Wikipedi and how to write it then you will be OK. Start with writing or expanding about the Naga people of Sri Lanka article. Find reliable sources from academic sources that treat the subject properly. They are a mythical people not real so keep that in mind while writing about them. You have to give all points of view balance in the article not just what you like. Hope this helps.
