Orphaned non-free media (Image:EMER Wii BXSHT 2D.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:EMER Wii BXSHT 2D.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 12:20, 11 May 2008 (UTC)

Disputed fair use rationale for File:Slightlymadstudios-logo.png}

Thank you for uploading File:Slightlymadstudios-logo.png. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check:

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's escription page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Rollback

Hi Nickin - a conversation is afoot at WP:PERM regarding your request - no biggie but your input would be appreciated. Pedro :  Chat  20:15, 20 July 2009 (UTC)

Also, do you own both ShifterBr (talk · contribs) and Nickin (talk · contribs)? –Juliancolton | Talk 20:24, 20 July 2009 (UTC)
Yes, I do. –Nickin/ShifterBr (talk) 20:31, 20 July 2009 (UTC)

This use of rollback is not appropriate, as was explained to you at WP:PERM, because the edit it reverted was not vandalism. If it was a mistake, please be more careful. I've moved your user and talk page to the correct location for now. The bureaucrats will move them back if/when your usurp request goes ahead. Please update your status with WP:VG

Dear WikiProject Video games member,

You are receiving this message because you have either Category:WikiProject Video games members or {{User WPVG}} somewhere in your userspace and you have edited Wikipedia in recent months.

The Video games project has created a member list to provide a clearer picture of its active membership.

All members have currently been placed in the "Inactive" section by default. Please remove your username from the "Inactive" listing and place it under the "Active" listing if you plan on regularly:

Ideally, members are encouraged to do both, but either one meets our criteria of inclusion. Members still listed inactive at the beginning of November 2009 may be removed. You may re-add yourself to the active list at any time. Thank you for your help, and we look forward to working with you.

Regarding your reversion of List of melodic death metal bands

I don't think you looked at the citation after I updated it. According to MusicMight, the website that most of the artists are cited by, states that At the Throne of Judgment, is indeed melodeath. --ҚЯĀŽΨÇÉV13 other crap 01:55, 3 December 2009 (UTC)

THPS SOUNDTRACKS

Hey dude, i want to be as diplomatic as possible here. mostly because i have been met with tons of hostility in the past regarding these articles, but I'm sure you can see that i only want to do whats best for these articles. I can agree on a lot of points regarding lists but when the content goes hand in hand with the main article something's gotta give. So in closing i changed the source to IMDB which is pretty notable. I'm willing to discuss any and all alternative sources and formats :) Magicianbink (talk) 06:24, 27 May 2010 (UTC)

You are now a Reviewer

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged revisions, underwent a two-month trial which ended on 15 August 2010. Its continued use is still being discussed by the community, you are free to participate in such discussions. Many articles still have pending changes protection applied, however, and the ability to review pending changes continues to be of use.

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under level 1 pending changes and edits made by non-reviewers to level 2 pending changes protected articles (usually high traffic articles). Pending changes was applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.

For the guideline on reviewing, see Wikipedia:Reviewing. Being granted reviewer rights doesn't grant you status nor change how you can edit articles even with pending changes. The general help page on pending changes can be found here, and the general policy for the trial can be found here.

If you do not want this user right, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles 05:26, 15 November 2010 (UTC)

Driver: San Francisco release date

hey Nickin, by looking at your contributions, I quickly found that you are a fan of Driver series just like me. I have been following Driver: San Francisco since it's announcement last year and since last year it has been pushed back two times: first to christmas 2010 and then to January-March 2011 and now a later date. I recently found a same release date on two sites that say the game will be released on April 30, 2011. Do you think these two sites are reliable enough to be mentioned in the "Release date(s)" section of the Driver: San Francisco article? see below:

[1]

[2] — Preceding unsigned comment added by JuventiniFan (talkcontribs) 07:34, 25 January 2011 (UTC)

Hello. I see, but I'm afraid the dates aren't reliable. Ubi themselves haven't announced a specific release date yet, just "FY 2011/2012". It's better to wait a confirmation from Ubisoft to add a release date. nickin/conversation/contribution 08:23, 26 January 2011 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
