Notice of Conflict of interest noticeboard discussion[edit]

During July 20, 2020 -- I was trying to help get a COI notice reviewed from my friend Priya_Darshini's page. But it turns out that my attempts are a COI in and of themself! I still am curious if I can add a photograph of her, which I have full and exclusive rights to.

Information icon There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Conflict of interest/Noticeboard regarding a possible conflict of interest incident with which you may be involved. Thank you. ThatMontrealIP (talk) 21:30, 20 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Photo addition[edit]

Hello! Regarding the photo, yes, you can just place a request on the talk page. You can also use the process described at WP:REQUESTEDIT, which will bring more immediate attention.ThatMontrealIP (talk) 18:01, 21 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Ah, that's perfect - exactly what I was wondering. I'll work on a WikiMedia upload soon and then try this out. This sounds like a nice way to improve the article (and I'm learning a whole lot of new stuff about Wikipedia in the process). Nickgray (talk) 18:10, 21 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

William E. Heinecke Article[edit]

Hi. Great work on the William E. Heinecke article. However I'd like to point out a couple of things you may not have known:

-When quoting a person, or adding facts into Wikipedia generally, you must have a WP:RS (reliable source) for the information. A blog, such as this does not count as a reliable source. It appears as though much of the article was copied from that blog - and it also contains a lot of hyperbolic language like 'greatest' 'best' 'leading' etc. Wikipedia is neutral - we don't make statements like that, we just list facts that are in a reliable source. If you can help to clean up the article more than would be excellent. As you can see I used your 'biography links' and inserted them into the article, those are great reliable sources. You add them by pasting the link into the article after whatever information you are using from the RS, then highlighting the text and clicking the '<ref / ref' button on the top right. Then you highlight the link inside of the ref tag and make it an external link, which it looks like you know how to do already (fourth button from the top left). Let me know if you have any questions, would be glad to help. DegenFarang (talk) 17:54, 16 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Ways to improve Nina Simon

Hi, I'm Mduvekot. Nickgray, thanks for creating Nina Simon!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. I have added a citation needed tag for the statements that require a source.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.
