Reply to your email[edit]

Regarding Primelocation, what type of information do you want to add? Does the website satisfy these criteria? Regards, Kimchi.sg (talk) 07:38, 30 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Perhaps you can write a draft article here: User:Newton1/Primelocation, to let me see what you have in mind. I can advise you whether the draft needs further changed, before it can hopefully be copied back to the original article.

P.S. I'd prefer you reply either on this page (just click the "[edit]" link beside the "Reply to your email" heading) or my user talk page. I seldom check e-mail and a delay of just one day in replying to email is the exception rather than the rule. Kimchi.sg (talk) 03:31, 1 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, thanks for your reply and the info. Please review my draft.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Newton1 (talkcontribs)

Before I make my comments on the draft, I would like to ask: Are you affiliated to, or working for, this company in any capacity? Kimchi.sg (talk) 09:09, 5 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, thanks for your reply.

I'm working on behalf of Primelocation. There were previous attempts to upload an article on the company in 2008 but it was refused for being too commercial. Primelocation has since rewritten the article in fitting with Wikipedia's rules and the other property portals (Globrix, Zoopla) who have pages on Wikipedia.

Thanks for your time.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Newton1 (talkcontribs)

Unfortunately the page says nothing other than the facts that this company exists and is still actively doing business. It still does not show how this company satisfies any of the notability criteria for companies. If this company cannot be shown to meet these criteria, then it is not advisable to have an article about it.
In addition, your working for this company puts you in a conflict of interest position. You are strongly discouraged from writing about your company. Kimchi.sg (talk) 06:24, 7 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi again, thanks for your reply.

Primelocation is part of the Daily Mail and General Trust group, which has a Wikipedia page and lists its divisions and their respective Wikipedia pages, such as The Loot.

I have been asked to submit a page on Primelocation to provide a valuable resource to Wikipedia users and to keep these Wikipedia pages consistent and linking up. For example when you type Primelocation into the Wikipedia search bar you are redirected to Daily Mail and General Trust page but there is no mention of Primelocation, which is a little confusing.

I cannot understand how Globrix and Zoopla can have pages accepted as they are less significant, please could you also clarify this.

Please could you see the changes I have made to the Primelocation article.

Thank you for your time.

I look forward to hearing from you.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Newton1 (talkcontribs)

Well if Globix and Zoopla are less notable than they will be deleted in due course. As for the confusion you get when typing "Primelocation" into the search bar, that can be satisfactorily resolved by nominating the redirect for deletion. Evan taking into account your latest changes, you have not shown why we need to have an article on a company that has chronically been unable to comply with our notability guidelines.
You would do well to advise your boss or employer or supervisor to read this page twenty times before asking you to violate our guidelines. Thank you. Kimchi.sg (talk) 03:14, 9 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
