Hi, I reverted your edit to the Requests for Adminship page, to which you inserted Scott Gall's previous adminship nomination. Was that what you meant to do? SlimVirgin (talk) 10:53, Apr 8, 2005 (UTC)

    • Yes. I'm nominating him this time. I've left a notice on his talk page. NazismIsntCool 10:55, 8 Apr 2005 (UTC)
Okay, then the way to proceed is first of all to ask him, then if he agrees, you write a brief description of him on the RfA page; he then has to say on the page that he accepts the nomination and has to fill in some answers to the questions. (You had entered his previous, failed nomination.) It's up to you whether you go ahead, but I'd advise against it, as he has only just failed one and is unlikely to succeed so soon after the first. However, it's up to you and Scott. Best, SlimVirgin (talk) 11:09, Apr 8, 2005 (UTC)
You may also want to assert that you are not anybody's sockpuppet, since nominating somebody after 4 edits to article space is highly unusual, and may not be seen as a valid nomination by many. dab () 12:37, 8 Apr 2005 (UTC)
I think I'll wait a couple of weeks, he hasn't responded yet. NazismIsntCool 22:13, 8 Apr 2005 (UTC)

I hear you lost one of your parents in the Boxing Day tsunami. Why would they be so close to the area in the first place? Scott Gall 05:35, 2005 Apr 10 (UTC)

They went to Indonesia for their 25th wedding anniversary. I suppose I should tell people these things. NazismIsntCool 19:39, 10 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Odd VfD votes[edit]

What's the deal with this "not Romanian" stuff? I appreciate humor as much as anyone, especially a well-placed joke at VfD which tends to be far too serious, but I'm not getting it, and it's sure to confuse others. VfD votes need valid reasoning, which could raise some suspicion, as well. androidtalk 01:06, Apr 20, 2005 (UTC)

I always take the fact that I'm a Romanian expat quite seriously. Some stuff on this site brings back memories, and one time last year, I nearly ended up buying the airline tickets. NazismIsntCool 02:34, 21 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia, by the way. If you're interested in neo-Nazism on Wikipedia, you may want to check out my neo-Nazi watchlist. silsor 06:22, Apr 24, 2005 (UTC)

I enjoyed that list. I should build some artificial watchlists of my own. I heard that User:Scott Gall had his user page vandalized by some ignoramus who was eventually blocked. I will place his page on my real watchlist so I'll know if it happens again. [[User:NazismIsntCool|Nazism isn't cool]] 12:02, 25 Apr 2005 (UTC)

D.C. meetup[edit]

Hey there. Sorry for the late notice, but if you're not busy you should come out to the meetup of Wikipedians in D.C. this weekend. We're getting together some locals and some out-of-state Wikipedians to hang out, see some sights, and talk about Wikipedia. Check out the meetup page for details on when/where to meet us. If you just want to come for dinner, we'll be at Brickskeller around 6pm on Saturday. Isomorphic 19:22, 4 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I can't make it. My cousin Olaf (from Sweden) is coming to visit. His plane lands in Atlanta tonight. [[User:NazismIsntCool|Nazism isn't cool]] 08:43, 7 May 2005 (UTC) PS: Thanks for offering anyway.[reply]

Timisoara[edit]

I'm from Timisoara :) And i also like South Park but i hate Britney :) --PET 20:23, 11 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I knew there'd be more Romanians - especially those who like South Park. What is your favorite episode? The one with the Romanian quintuplets? [[User:NazismIsntCool|{{NazismIsntCool/sig}}

I like South Park as well. I liked the one with the close-up animals filmed with a wide-angle lens - that was CUTE! Scott Gall 01:14, 2005 May 22 (UTC) PS: And speaking of animals, I read at Talk:Squirrel how you used to own a pet squirrel. What color was it? And did those mad scientists who experimented on him accept responsibility?

Hello[edit]

I got your message, Julia. But can you fill me in on something - I saw something about a page on your contributions list about something called "autofellatio redirect." Is autofellatio something involving a car? Barely There 04:08, 25 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Indeed Nazism is far from cool but your name reads like it is[edit]

Hello, I agree with your user name, however I think it is a mistake to make the middle of your sig yellow. To me this --> {{NazismIsntCool/sig}} Nazism isn't cool reads as Nazis...t.Cool, not the message I presume/hope you intend to give. --JK the unwise 13:03, 14 Jun 2005 (UTC)

You had a doppleganger[edit]

Someone set up an account called User:NazismlsntCool (with a lowercase 'L' instead of the 'I' in your name) to commit vandalism. SlimVirgin blocked them for vandalism, and I've changed the block to be infinite.-gadfium 08:44, 25 Jun 2005 (UTC)

I haven't had any dopplegangers yet. Scott Gall 11:07, 2005 Jun 25 (UTC) PS: I thought "Oh dear. Julia vandalising - it's not like her." when I saw NazismlsntCool's name here and when I found out it was a doppleganger I was about to tell you that, but it looks like someone's already beaten me to it.
When a well-known name starts committing vandalism, there's always the worry that their password has been compromised. In this case, as soon as I saw the user contributions I knew it had to be a doppleganger since those contributions were all in the last day. I thought I'd better post a note here so that friends who were concerned by the edits could see that it wasn't Julia and that the matter had been taken care of.-gadfium 19:28, 25 Jun 2005 (UTC)
And in due time as well. :-) [[User:NazismIsntCool|{{NazismIsntCool/sig}}

Well, that's what admins are for - finding vandalism, cleaning up after them, and blocking them when it becomes too much. Scott Gall July 2, 2005 03:05 (UTC)

Hi sis, how's life treating you? Someone planted a bomb on the subway on Thursday, and I have a broken leg because of that [expletive deleted]. Barely There 9 July 2005 12:06 (UTC)

Oh dear. I heard about that. Last night, I just couldn't get any sleep because I was dreaming that you died as a result of it. And some other [expletive deleted] committed vandalism under the name NazismlsntCool (note how they had an L where I had an i) two weeks ago - if I knew where that joker was, he'd get the hiding of his life. I was thinking about it too, and I'm relieved that Emilia's not confined to a wheelchair and having people call her hurtful names. Flag of Chad[edit]

I just noticed your comment in Talk:Chad - the flag is identical to that of Romania, though not intentionally. The colours green, gold and red (the Pan-African colours) are common on many post-colonial African flags; thus, the central white stripe in the French flag was symbolically replaced by the gold to "Africanise" it. (Or something like that).

When Chad adopted it, though, it probably wasn't thought to be a problem; at the time, Romania was using the Communist-era flag, which had a coat of arms prominently in the centre, and prior to that it had had the royal arms in the centre - essentially, it looked like the flag of Moldova does now. So they've only had an identical flag for about fifteen years. Just to confuse matters, the Andorran flag is almost the same - same colours, slightly different crest in the middle, and slightly modified proportions. Shimgray 23:50, 21 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

It is quite confusing. I still think the Romanian and Chaddite (I hope I got it right) flags should be just one file, because two files is quite redundant. [[User:NazismIsntCool|{{NazismIsntCool/sig}}

Please change your user name[edit]

Some find it harassing and/or defamatory. Thank you,

Sam Spade 18:56, 25 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah shouldn't you change your username. Some people here could be Nazis/Neo-Nazis, that are very civil and nice, and they wouldn't appreciate your username now would they? Just because you don't like something doesn't mean you should throw it out there, and say "I'm right you're wrong" kind of like what your userpage says, well atleast I thought of it that way. Would you like it if someone said "RomaniaIsntCool" or "CommunismIsForF***ers" (I censored myself, since some people may be offended, but if you aren't then I'll swear up a storm)? So I agree with Sam Spade that you should get it changed. Quentin Pierce 04:50, 26 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Exactly, there are lots of unpopular groups. Satanism is unpopular, and I met at least one satanic wiki. I chose to be polite to him, despite my disapproval of all things satanic. If my user name had been confrontational (user:witchburner or some such), he or others might have objected. Lets not make broad generalisations about others and their beliefs. Sam Spade 21:24, 5 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

This is the dumbest argument I've heard in a long time. Nazis are filthy scums! The guy has the right to keep that name. Oh, Nazis can be offended by the name? Oh, dear, call Jerry Springer! Those scums should be thrown to lions! I guess you two are Nazis. I can't believe someone could try to argue that Nazis deserve respect. That's like saying that serialkillers can be nice. You guys are pathetic! Begone! --Anittas 21:29, 5 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I recommend a change of name, but even moreso I recommend that we all try to relax a notch or two here.--Jimbo Wales 22:16, 5 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Read WP:CIVIL. Try to be better than the people you rail against ;) Sam Spade 21:35, 5 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I told Jimbo about this argument, and, as we can read above, he recommends a nick change. The rest is up to the user. My recommendation is that you keep it and do everything possible to offend Nazis. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Jimbo_Wales#Jimbo.2C_check_this_out_.28about_Nazism_and_Wiki.29

--Anittas 23:02, 5 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with Jimbo Wales on this one. She should change her User Name. It's as if she is asking for the trouble and attention. In fact, I suspect that asking for trouble and attention may be the actual reason for her User Name, rather than representing her alleged extreme feelings against Nazism. I don't like Nazism either, but your User Name is only provoking things and inciting vandalism even towards uninvolved Romanian articles. See:[1]]. Alexander 007 12:55, 11 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Best name ever perhaps, but not for Wikipedia. It is only inciting disruption and vandalism. Alexander 007 13:19, 11 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
This is BS, Alex. Who the hell cares if it incites Nazis? Screw Nazis and crap! Don't come up with this stuff, dude! --Anittas 19:17, 11 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
It is a fact that her User Name has already incited vandalism, from whoever. That's causing disruption. Alexander 007 19:26, 11 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
I want to see this fact. --Anittas 19:27, 11 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I told you already that they are not the same user! Read on Wiki Ro notice board! Or read this talkpage and you'll understand! WTF, dude! Stop being such a housewife! --Anittas 19:32, 11 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Anittas, WTF is what I have to say to you. I'm not claiming that User:RomaniaIsntCool is User:NazismIsntCool. But User:NazismIsntCool incited that vandalism. You do know what it means to incite, right? Indirectly (yet, not that indirectly) inciting still fits the definition. Alexander 007 19:35, 11 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
WTF are you talking about? Are you saying that it's her fault that some lame, retarded, nazi decided to make a similar name, replacing Nazism with Romania? Are you insane? It's not her fault! And we should all incite Nazis, those filth! --Anittas 19:39, 11 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Her User Name will continue to be a source of vandalism/disruption. This is an internet encyclopedia. Alexander 007 19:46, 11 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
It's not her responsibility for what others do. Her nickname is fine. You have no case. --Anittas 19:48, 11 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
That's your opinion. Alexander 007 19:54, 11 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
It's not her responsibility on how other filthy Nazi react to her nickname! Period! She has caused no vandalism, as you claim; and I dismiss your disruption argument! --Anittas 19:56, 11 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
My disruption argument? It has been brought up by many Wikipedians a number of times. See above. It will continue to be an issue. You can dismiss it all you like, it's not going away that easily. Alexander 007 20:00, 11 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Julia, if you say you're romanian who was the guy who started revolution from 1989, the place, name and data.-- Bonaparte talk 19:16, 11 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Do you mean that Hungarian priest? Damn, dude, I don't know that, either. I keep forgetting his name. What kind of test is this? I mean, anyone can find that out. It wouldn't prove anything. --Anittas 20:02, 11 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
I think it's important to balance freedom of speech with anti-discrimination. Saying things like "Nazis should be burnt" is incitement of hatred and is discriminatory. However, simply saying "NazismIsntCool" is nothing wrong. It's free speech. She spoke out her beliefs about a system that she feels - and most people in the world feel - did some pretty bad things, and she said it in a fairly light-hearted and un-violent way. Therefore, no-one has any right to force her to change her name. If I make a name now saying "CommunismIsntCool", would that be bad? How about "RacismIsntCool"? Would people be harassed for that too? It's time to stop it, guys, because Julia hasn't done anything wrong. Ronline 12:34, 12 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry Ronline, you're wrong: read Wikipedia:Username#inappropriate usernames. See the section no inflammatory user names. This is an open-and-shut case, and the only reason User:NazismIsntCool has slid by thus far is because most of us (including me) can agree that Nazism is not cool, nor is Neo-Nazism. But as the policy says, her User Name is in violation, it is inciting vandalism and disruption, and it is not a User Name for an internet encyclopedia. Take such handles to IRC. Alexander 007 10:58, 15 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
First of all, screw Wiki policy made by housewives! Secondly, the name rules! HAHA! And if those vandals don't like the nickname, then they can blow my... ;) --Anittas 15:04, 15 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
And it's ridiculous for User:Chaosfeary to think that only "Neo-Nazis" are against her User Name being allowed in Wikipedia. It clearly violates policy. I got fed up with her User Name when User:RomaniaIsntCool came up on my watchlist with his vandalism. We do not need a steady stream of vandals just so we can ignore policy and allow miss Julia to stir up trouble and draw attention. Alexander 007 11:03, 15 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
