I have come across a G.B. Drake painting. Here are some images: http://i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd252/GingerTuttle/GBDrake.jpg http://i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd252/GingerTuttle/GBDrakeSignatureonPortrait.jpg http://i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd252/GingerTuttle/GBDrakeSignatureonBack.jpg

It is a portrait dated June 1894. It is oil on canvas, part of a friend's family estate. We are curious to learn more about the woman and the artist. Any information you could shed would be helpful. Gvgingee 00:37, 12 September 2007 (UTC)gvgingee[reply]

George Burton Drake article changes[edit]

Regarding your recent post on my page: (1) I don't have any cohorts (that was funny), (2) I certainly hope it's clear why the article was originally split. The minister portion was written completely separately from the painter portion, to the extent that it seemed apparent that two different people were being discussed, (3) you're were mistaken that I "completely erased any historical background" - as you have now seen it was simply in the separate article. That all being said, and your snarky comments aside, I like your re-write when you combined the information. Mr. Drake's bio is more clear, and makes for an interesting read. Thanks for sharing.
