Information icon Please do not use misleading edit summaries when making changes to Wikipedia pages, as you did to Tyagaraja Aradhana. This behavior is viewed as disruptive, and continuation may result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. - Sumanuil. (talk to me) 00:25, 30 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Stop making unreasonable claims. I am not using any incorrect edit summaries, if you know thamizh or another dravidian language then you would understand the difference between tyagaraja and thyagaraja. Nagarajan Duraisamy (talk) 00:46, 30 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
To give a simple analogy "Tanks" and "Thanks" are not equivalent in English. Same holds good for "Tyaga" and "Thyaga". Thyaga means "sacrifice", Tyaga doesn't have an equivalent meaning. Nagarajan Duraisamy (talk) 01:39, 30 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

You were "fixing" file names and Wikipedia markup. If you can make your corrections over again without breaking anything, go ahead. Also, don't make comments in articles. Just edit them. - Sumanuil. (talk to me) 04:08, 30 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I realized that mistake of changing spelling in filenames will break the links and corrected them after previewing the changes. I didn't intend to change any markup other than correcting the spelling. I tried to include some information in markup and removed it. Nagarajan Duraisamy (talk) 18:11, 30 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm The Herald. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Aluva, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. The Herald (Benison) (talk) 02:26, 4 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Herald, Please look up the meaning of the word "Alam" in Arabic. I will provide citation as dictionary of Arabic to English. Considering the long history of trade between Middle East and Kerala, I think the word "Alam" should have its roots in Arabic / Hebrew. I am not a time traveler to provide authoritative citation. However, the current article doesn't provide citation about where was meaning of word Alam derived from. Which language has such a meaning for the word "Alam" as poison ? is this in Malayalam ? Nagarajan Duraisamy (talk) 06:29, 4 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The Meaning "Gateway of the East" could well be because Aluva had trade relations with Europe, Middle East, Africa and China. This is the basis on which I edited the etymology section. Nagarajan Duraisamy (talk) 06:35, 4 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
