Paper on North Pacific Right Whales

[edit]

Hi, there. I'm guessing you misssed my reply to you on my talk page. Since your name was in red I assumed you didn't have a talk page, so that's why I didn't reply here. Perhaps you should say a little about yourself on there. Anyway, I'd love to get a hold of your paper. I tend to have problems obtaining papers that aren't available online. I've read On the Northwest (1988). Its one of my favorite books, right by Whales, Ice, & Men (1986), No Man's Land (1906) and Blubber Ship (1939). Jonas Poole (talk) 21:38, 21 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. First American whalers in Okhotsk

[edit]

Hi. I was reading your paper on the historic distribution of right whales in the North Pacific based on the Maury charts (IWC, 1991) and on page 477 you stated that Henderson said there were two American vessels in the Okhotsk in 1845. I know one was the Manhattan, under Mercator Cooper. Do you recall the name of the second ship? ST1849 (talk) 16:26, 17 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
