CHARLEY ZAIJIAN QIAN[edit]

Charley Zaijian Qian (born in 1965) is a professor of sociology and public policy and director of the Research Institute of public policy and management at Nanjing Normal University in the People’s Republic of China.

EARLY LIFE[edit]

Charley Zaijian Qian was born in Lujiang County, Anhui Province, a neighbor of Jiangsu Province. Qian’s childhood years were spent in the countryside of Lujiang County, where he attended primary school and junior high school, and graduated from Leqiao Senior High School in July 1983.

EDUCATION[edit]

In 1983, Qian took part in the College Entrance Examination and entered Nanjing University, and enrolled in the Department of Philosophy. He graduated and earned his Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy in July 1987. Since then, he has been teaching sociology and public policy at Nanjing Normal University. In 1999, he again entered Nanjing University, majoring in sociology, and graduated in 2004, earned his Ph. D. in sociology. From October 2003 to September 2004, Qian studies social welfare at Aichi University of Education in Japan. Charley Zaijian Qian is currently a professor of sociology and public policy and director of the Research Institute of public policy and management at Nanjing Normal University in Jiangsu Province.
