Cast sections[edit]
Hi there. I noticed that you've been expanding the cast sections of Chinese films. Many of these articles do need to be expanded, but you should keep in mind that Wikipedia's cast listing is not supposed to be comprehensive. Generally, we should keep to the main and supporting characters, and a good rule of thumb that I use is to list only characters that are named, mentioned in the plot summary, and have spoken dialog. Obviously, there are going to be exceptions, but this helps to keep the cast list from becoming excessively long and overly detailed. Also, we generally don't require citations for the cast list. It is presumed that the film itself serves as a primary source. When a role is uncredited, or the film is unreleased, a citation is appropriate. Citations should be to reliable sources, such as newspapers, books, and websites with an editorial board. Usually, film databases are more appropriate for the "external links" section than as a citation. You can find some guidelines related to these issues at the manual of style for film-related articles.
