P.S. You may notice I have reverted your edits at Ohio University. I have opened a discussion at the article's talk page, should you wish to defend the content you added. Rivertorch (talk) 20:30, 30 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Ohio University and the paranormal[edit]

"Overwhelmed senior"—I remember very well what that was like! (And we didn't even have Wikipedia in those days.) Belatedly I see that your contribution had something to do with an assignment that was supposed to be coordinated with your instructor through the Wikipedia Ambassador Program. The notice of that went up on the article's talk page after you contributed. This is an example of the right hand not knowing what the left hand is doing, a not infrequent occurrence at Wikipedia, I'm sorry to say. Ideally, what should happen in these cases is the content you write gets drafted in user space, where an experienced Wikipedia editor can look it over before you post it in article space. That this didn't happen obviously was not your fault in any way.

Wikipedia is its own little universe, with lots of rules and norms that seem esoteric to newcomers, but there's a method to most of the madness. Time allowing, I'll take another look at what you wrote and see I can find a way for some of it to be integrated into the article. (This may not happen very quickly.) In the meantime, if you decide to revise and repost, please feel free to contact me on my talk page if you have any questions I might be able to answer. You can also add the text {{helpme}} (helpme inside double braces) to this page, and someone should show up more quickly. Rivertorch (talk) 07:08, 8 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
