Non-free image use

[edit]

Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia. We always appreciate when users upload images. However, it appears that one or more of the images you have uploaded or added to a page, specifically Iran national football team, may fail our non-free image policy. Most often, this involves editors uploading or using a copyrighted image of a living person. For other possible reasons, please read up on our Non-free image criteria. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. -- Marchjuly (talk) 00:11, 4 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Please refer to Wikipedia:Files for discussion/2016 February 17#File:Football Federation Islamic Republic of Iran.png for the relevant discussion about the file's non-free use. If you have any questions about why the image is not allowed to be used in that article, feel free to ask the administrator (User talk:Graeme Bartlett) who closed the discussion, or ask for help at WP:MCQ or WT:NFCC. Many of the football team logos you see on Wikipedia are non-free content, which means that they must satisfy Wikipedia's non-free content use policy each time they are used. Please carefully look over the links to the pages I've added above (the blue links) because non-free content use can be tricky and its easy to make mistakes. It's OK to make a mistake once and perhaps maybe even twice, but making the same mistake over and over again is not OK. So, when in doubt, it's best to ask for help. -- Marchjuly (talk) 00:14, 4 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
