Naif vs Nayef
[edit]I moved the page for the time being. While there is clearly more than one acceptable of his, and most, Arabic names, I think Naif is more common. If you can provide references showing that Nayef is the more common of the two I would not object to a move. The important thing is that the spelling is consistent on the page. Semi-protection of Asif Ali Zardari
[edit]If you want that article semi-protected, the right place to ask would be WP:RFPP. But I'm not sure whether the current rate of vandalism would be considered sufficient. And some vandals even undo their own edits. Huon (talk) 18:31, 26 April 2011 (UTC)
Hi
[edit]Great efforts in making articles related to Pakistan as unbiased and resourceful. Stay in touch :) Sarmadhassan (talk) 06:24, 11 May 2011 (UTC)
Regarding this article's title, I can't find any English sources which use that name. In Arabic he's just Turki [the second] bin Abdul-Aziz, which I have reflected in the article. Do you think it should be renamed, and if so, to what? - Yk3 talk · contrib 01:56, 13 May 2011 (UTC)
- Honestly thats a good question. Even though no English sources use that name, i guess its a suitable name for him to be identified. If you find a better name, I am completely behind your name nomination. Mni9791 (talk) 03:35, 13 May 2011 (UTC)
Per Wikipedia:Article titles#Deciding on an article title, I would use Turki bin Abdul-Aziz Al Saud based on its common usage. I know that page is currently a disambiguation page, but the first Turki's notability is completely overshadowed by the second's, therefore I think it would be appropriate to let Turki II's page to be titled Turki bin Abdul-Aziz Al Saud. - Yk3 talk · contrib 04:58, 13 May 2011 (UTC)
- okay, thanks for consulting me. I earlier remember moving the page to Turki the Sudairi because of the double name problem. I would recommend you to change it to Turki II bin Abdul-Aziz Al Saud. It would avoid many minor problems. I also want you to note that though the first Turki is less famous than Turki II, the hisorical significance of Turki I may weigh more because at one point he was the direct heir to the throne. Turki II is a relatively minor position in Saudi politics that holds power due to the Sudairi background, and his power was diminished also after his disputes with the ruling regent in the 1980s. Asif Ali Zardari page
[edit]Do you think the Asif Ali Zardari page should become a featured article? Reformation32 (talk) 23:05, 24 July 2011 (UTC)
- Yes. I believe that now, since the referencing has been corrected, the article is complete and ready to become a featured article of Wikipedia. I approve its nomination as a featured article. Mni9791 (talk) 23:27, 24 July 2011 (UTC)
