Previous Warning in error[edit]

Please disregard the vandalism warning I just added, it was in error. Sorry! --Aka042 (talk) 21:29, 1 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, talk pages are meant to be a record of a discussion; deleting or editing legitimate comments, as you did at Talk:Miss Tourism Of The Millennium, is considered bad practice, even if you meant well. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Tcncv (talk) 22:10, 1 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Miss Earth South Sudan's height[edit]

The threshold for inclusion in Wikipedia is verifiability, not truth—that is, whether readers are able to check that material added to Wikipedia has already been published by a reliable source, not whether we think it is true. Editors should provide a reliable source for quotations and for any material that is challenged or likely to be challenged, or the material may be removed. Wikipedia:Verifiability is one of Wikipedia's core content policies, along with Wikipedia:No original research and Wikipedia:Neutral point of view. Jointly, these policies determine the type and quality of material that is acceptable in Wikipedia articles. They should not be interpreted in isolation from one another, and editors should therefore familiarize themselves with all three. If your claim is true with the height of Miss South Sudan, you shold be able to provide third party verifiable reference (not from forum or blogs). However, I have provided a third party verifiable source as cited in the article and for your perusal here's the link: Miss Earth South Sudan '09 deserves to be in the Guinness Book of World Records. In the link, it is clearly stated that her height is 192.5cm not 195cm. Please response in this thread (your talk page) not in my talk page, so there's continuity in our discussion. Thanks.--Richie Campbell (talk) 13:32, 14 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • Regarding the height of other delegates, I will look into it. I don't have much time this time. I have edited Miss South Sudan since she is the most significant and record breaking at 192.5cm. The other delegates' height are very common. I just don't want to edit their height right now without attaching a reliable source. Even at 192.5cm, Miss Sudan can still be included in the Guinnesss Book of World Records. Why don't we work for it? She deserves to be in that book. Thanks --Richie Campbell (talk) 14:05, 14 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Richie, I see what you mean, and they have also make a mistake she was measured at 6ft 5 inches and this was converted to metric which is where to mix up comes, but I guess we can wait till it is verified by the Guinness book of Records

Perhaps there should be a Wiki tool to convert heights of all delegates?........ a lot are down right laughable? Misskobe (talk)

  • Hi Miss Kobe. I have contacted the Woman of the Earth website, they responded quickly and informed me that the info was provided to them by the Beauties of Africa (192.5cm), the franchise holder of Miss Earth South Sudan. I was told by the editor that they will only change the info if Beauties of Africa, particularly (Maria Bayu) would contact them. I hope this helps. The Guinness Book of World Records needs to be contacted so they can go in the Philippines and verify the info, so far no one has initiated this move. It would be great if either the organizer of Miss Earth or the Beauties of Africa would contact Guinness Book of World Records.--Richie Campbell (talk) 15:54, 14 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Richie I will contact them but i read in a press release that they have contacte Guinness world records already thank for your info

I'm not a racist. They didn't meet the notability policy. I have proposed deletion for American articles before, so don't act like I only did it to your articles. You had time to delete the proposed deletion template and state why you thought it should remain on here, but you did not do that. MissAmericaGirl (talk) 19:15, 13 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
