Hi miriamcc, and thanks for your questions!

To take the image question first: the image link you left on my talk page ([1]) does look ideal for your article. However, the web site it's on has this at the bottom of the page: "© Augusto Wong Campos, 2004. Yahoo! Geocities Inc." This means the image is copyrighted to the page author, and we can't use it on Wikipedia unless the author agrees to release it under a free license. There may also be another issue with this image, because we don't know if the individual photos used in it are copyrighted too. I would suggest looking for alternative pictures elsewhere (there are some useful free image resources on this page here). Once you have found the pictures you want, I would be happy to help with editing them, uploading them etc.

OK, the footnotes next... There are templates on this page here that are designed for use with almost any type of reference (books, internet, newspapers, films etc). The one you need for a web site is {{cite web}}. I'll set this out below for the site you posted on my talk page ([2]) so you can see how it works:

<ref>
{{cite web
| last =
| first =
| authorlink =
| coauthors =
| title = EL FENÓMENO DEL "BOOM LATINOAMERICANO"
| work =
| publisher =
| date = 16 October 2006
| url = http://lenguayliteratura.org/ltr/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=1537&Itemid=1
| format = HTTP
| doi =
| accessdate = 2008-11-02
}}
</ref>

I don't speak any Spanish, so I hope I've got the details right! Really the minimum information we need are the web address, the title of the article used, and the date it was last accessed (to show when we know the link was working in case it goes dead in the future).

Copy/pasting this at the end of a sentence or paragraph (after the punctuation) produces an in-line citation. This means you can use it to cite the facts you have quoted in that sentence/paragraph. HOWEVER, I noticed that the Latin American Boom article you're working on doesn't have any footnotes...yet ;) This means you will also need to add this towards the end of the article, or your footnotes/citations won't show up:

==Notes and references==
{{reflist}}

A bit of a long answer, but I hope it helps! If you have any more questions or need me to explain these answers further, don't hesitate to give me a shout ;) All the best, EyeSereneTALK 12:27, 11 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
