Autoformatter messed up the Burroughs Large Systems article[edit]

I reverted you most recent change to Buroughs large systems. teh article uses single brackets like [9]. your autoformatter changed these to double brackets, which is not right. Perhaps we can work together to fix this? I don't know what to do, myself. In addition ot th eperfectly legitijate single brackets, thate is a bunch of crufty HTML that needs to be fixed. It was already there before I got interesed in the article.

Thanks! -Arch dude 00:50, 23 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I saw your fix. It looks good. If I ever get any new info on the Unisys machines, I will update the history table and I will convert the HTLM tables to wiki tables. -Arch dude 17:18, 26 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Login successful, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Why did you mark this article for wikification? As far as I can tell it's wikified just fine. - Mgm|(talk) 11:15, 2 April 2007 (UTC) [reply]

RE[edit]

I'm glad to see that you have found a project to call home. Everyone needs a home base. Nice images, and great work on the article. I think that the editcountitis is just in remission, if that. I've been doing alright; a couple of people have been frustrating me, but otherwise everything is acceptable. How about you? -- The Hybrid 22:22, 3 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

While I was on vacation one of my uncles died. They went ahead and did the funeral while I was gone, so I didn't get to attend. They didn't record it. He passed literally hours after I left. They called at 2:00 pm the day that I had left at 7:00 am. They didn't really have a choice, as they had no way to contact me so that I could cancel and return. He died of Parkinson's disease. He had gone blind and lost his ability to speak. I was sad that I didn't get to attend his funeral, but I'm happy that he doesn't have to just sit there in the dark shaking with no way to ask for anything to make him more comfortable. It is terrible watching someone fall apart before your eyes. I shouldn't have gone on that vacation. I knew that he would be gone soon. -- The Hybrid 22:47, 3 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

That is pretty cool. Cheers, -- The Hybrid 22:53, 4 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

But I get what it is supposed to do, and I like the idea behind it. That is what I was commenting on. I have a lot to do right now. I have to deal with people who don't understand American and international copyright laws, take down sockpuppets, ect. I don't even have time to spell check this message. Changing tabs[edit]

I've found another way to do it, but it's much longer. For each tab add

function renameTabA() {
    try {
        var Node = document.getElementById( 'ca-nstab-user' ).firstChild;
        if ( Node.textContent ) {      // Per DOM Level 3
            Node.textContent = 'home';
        } else if ( Node.innerText ) { // IE doesn't handle .textContent
            Node.innerText = 'home';
        } else {                       // Fallback
            Node.replaceChild( Node.firstChild, document.createTextNode( 'home' ) );
        }
    } catch(e) {
        // bailing out!
    }
}
addOnloadHook( renameTabA )

to your monobook.js I'm sure not all this code is needed, but I have no idea what to remove. This is the method used for renaming the ca-nstab-main tab on main page to say main page instead of article. Also, you will need to change the function name for each tab you want to change (like renameTabB, renameTabC, etc) make sure to change it at the top and bottom.--Werdan7T @ 00:49, 10 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Hmmm[edit]

I guess it is obvious to assume, but still... I don't think we can go just off of assumptions here. It is an encyclopedia after all. I'm fine with it saying something like "assumably (cat's name here), etc" for the kits born, etc, but I don't think it can be exactly written as though it's totally confirmed that so-and-so is apprenticed right during that book. At least until we have the hard proof that the book itself or some other source (like an author or an excerpt) gives us... I dunno... That's just my opinion...
Aside from that, people really need to learn to use the spacebar... That edit before mine really bugged me with the spacesless list of cats...

Hi, and Thanx![edit]

Hey Razorclaw! Thanx for the info! I still have to get used to this site.:) I do have one Q&A though. On the Fire and Ice cover, isn't it Bluestar and Fireheart? When browsing the Warriors site, I think it is these two.

Thanx! I'm constanly rereading the books over and over and over........... Well, you get it.:D Another Q&A: Does Tornear die in Book 6? He's definatly in Book 4(New Prophecy).

Once again, thanx!:) Meow, Icestarcat 23:58, 11 April 2007 (UTC) (I hope I did this all right. If not, please excuse it, and my grammarX) )[reply]

Re: block[edit]

You were autoblocked. Most likely because you use a shared IP and someone else using it got blocked. John Reaves (talk) 23:58, 17 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I am using my laptops numberpad and the alt codes 1-15 wont work nor will half the other codes. As to what I said, I can only get approx ½ of all the alt key codes advailble. I know one option is to buy a numeric key pad but I want to see if its something I can fix without buying it. Regards,  Razorclaw ⊚ 20070419221452

You might have the number lock on, which uses the right hand alphabet keys as a number pad. anthony[review] 23:05, 19 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
