Welcome![edit]

Hello, Mikequfv, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of your recent edits to the page Shenzhen has not conformed to Wikipedia's verifiability policy, and has been or will be removed. Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations that have been stated in print or on reputable websites or in other media. Always remember to provide a reliable source for quotations and for any material that is likely to be challenged, or it may be removed. Wikipedia also has a related policy against including original research in articles. Additionally, all new biographies of living people must contain at least one reliable source.

If you are stuck and looking for help, please see the guide for citing sources or come to the new contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for persistent vandalism. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Beeblebrox (talk) 15:31, 5 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • I apologize, I suddenly realized I was completely misinterpreting what you were doing and it was not vandalism at all. Beeblebrox (talk) 15:35, 5 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Green snow[edit]

I'm not bothered with the colour of the snow being green or blue. But take a look at precipitation where is says that it includes both rain and snow. So all three should be the same colour. Cheers. CambridgeBayWeather, Uqaqtuq (talk), Sunasuttuq 14:44, 6 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 48 hours for persistent disruptive editing. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|1 I just wants to know when will you unblock me? ~~~~}}.  Katietalk 00:40, 19 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • I blocked you because you've been warned about making these changes unilaterally. You refuse to discuss them with other editors and you leave no option but to block you to stop your disruption. When your block expires, start getting consensus for your edits or you may be blocked again. Katietalk 00:42, 19 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for evading your block by continuing your disruptive editing anonymously. Your current 48-hour block has been changed to be indefinite.. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Hi, I am a father of a son. It's was my son that was disruptive editing wikipedia. Sorry about that. Now he has his own account. Will you unblock this account. I had never edited any page yet. Please unblock me, I will only edit the sandbox and occasionally, the precipitation, snow, and rain colours. Agree? ~~~~}}.  ‑Scottywong| express _ 00:03, 20 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

When will I be unlocked? It's been at least a week now. How long did you plan to block me?

You put the unblock request inside of the block request, so the code might not've raised an admin correctly. However, based on WP:VALIDALT, you will probably be unlikely to get an unblock on this account because there is no way to prove that your son no longer has access to your account (See WP:PASSWORD). Your best bet is to stop any IP editing you (or your son) has been doing immediately (editing while not logged in can be counted as sockpuppet activity, especially when you've been blocked), and talk to the admins that are discussing your case [[1]]. They may or may not allow you to create a new account to make sure your son is not able to make bad edits in your name. 170.178.234.233 (talk) 17:15, 9 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Sockpuppet investigation[edit]

Hi. An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Mikequfv, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.

ArbCom Elections 2016: Voting now open![edit]

Hello, Mikequfv. Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2016 election, please review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 22:08, 21 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
