Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Hidden champions. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. July 13 2016 It appears two people saw the same edits (done in one instance) and shut me down. I am the President of a .ORG based in Princeton. I am new to Wikipedia editing. I wanted to make more information available on this topic to Wikipedia readers. Rather than write a long piece I thought I’d provide a couple of links: 1. On the mittelstand page, the foremost authority in Germany is Prof. Hermann Simon whose groundbreaking book “Hidden Champions” provides numerous insights into the mittelstand. His book is not listed in the references – I added it. 2. In the English language, the largest collection of content on the mittelstand(much of it original) is on our institute's website. I have personally interviewed many people listed on that page, including Prof. Simon, Prof. Bernhd Venohr, etc. It is hard to summarize over a hundred videos, hence the link. I provided a link to a summary article and to the special section we have built on the mittelstand. I have been invited to speak at the German American Chamber of Commerce, the German Auto Industry Association and the National Institute of Standards – Manufacturing Extension Program about the German mittelstand. Just two weeks ago, I spoke to a group of German students from the Fachhochschule des Mittelstands (FHM), a German university founded by mittelstand companies. If you went to www.google.com and entered the term “midmarket”, our website www.midmarket.org usually appears second, below Wikipedia. We do not spend a single penny on SEO or promotions. We are high in the search results simply because we have the largest collection of content on the middle market, including the mittelstand (in English), on the web. Please keep in mind that the intent was not to ‘shamelessly promote’ but rather to share and inform. I have read the guidelines and see why I was blocked.
