Contested deletion[edit]

This page should not be speedily deleted because I am trying to provide the minimum of relevant information if someone wants to know who I am as a user. If it somehow is not compliant, please provide guidance.

The below message should give some guidance. I'd recommend removing the links per Wikipedia:LINKSTOAVOID and sounding a little less formal and like an article. Think of your user page as more of an icebreaker ("I'm X, I do Y, my interests are Z").

Sorry, but your user page does not conform to Wikipedia's user page guidelines. It is intended for basic information about yourself and your Wikimedia-related activities. Although a lot of freedom is allowed in personalizing your user page, it is not:

an encyclopedia article (and should not be styled to look like one)
a workspace for a draft article
a personal website, blog, or social media site
a space for self-promotion or other advertising
a CV/resumé
a lengthy autobiography

Thanks for the feedback. I've taken a look at the two pages you linked to on what is and what is not considered acceptable content.

Under 'what is':

If you are editing for or on behalf of a company, organization, group, product, or person (etc.) which you wish to be open about in order to gain a good working relationship with the editing community.

(Editing must always be neutral and within encyclopedia norms. Editors tend to distrust concealed conflicts of interest and agendas. Openly disclosing such interests increases respect, invites others to help, and shows a desire to edit appropriately.)

Limited autobiographical content For example, languages you know (see Wikipedia:Babel) or fields you have knowledge in.

Under 'what is not' the only issue that I can see is the possibility that this is considered 'advertising or promotion', but I've restricted the content to the barely factual minimum. I could change it to cite the areas in which I have relevant experience and specialist expertise; but that seemed to me to be more 'self-promotion'
