Hello!

[edit]

Hi Micajah1! I hope you enjoy your stay here at Wikipedia. I just saw your name in the recent changes and though I'd say hello to you before the official welcoming party arrives. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask me or others! --William Pembroke(talk) 03:01, 2 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"Cost cutting measure"

[edit]

Can you cite a reference for the statement you made that Awake! was changed to a monthly as a "cost cutting measure"? You may be right but statements like those (especially if they appear to be controversial) need to be supported by a reference. Dtbrown 03:43, 5 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Your edits to "Overview" section of Jehovah's Witness page

[edit]

The "Overview" section of JW belief on the page "Jehovah's Witnesses" is supposed to list what JWs believe. For the most part, your edits are veiled and outright criticisms of JW beliefs (for example, citing Scripture passages that are normally used by people who oppose the JW belief in question--such as the citation from Luke 16 or 1 John 5:1 that appeared in an earlier edit). You continue to edit in the "phallic nature" of cross. That is not the given reason for the JW belief in a torture stake (though they do mention that as a reason they do not use the cross in worship). Continuing to attempt to turn the section discussing what JWs believe into a polemic against their beliefs is inappropriate. That section is supposed to be a factual stating of what they believe. Please contribute to Talk:Jehovah's Witnesses

[edit]

Without interacting with the community of editors, I think you'll find making significant edits difficult. People will invariably misunderstand your intent and you will likely misunderstand other people's intent. Articles are edited by consensus, and without your voice, you cannot add to that consensus. Happy editing! joshbuddy, talk 04:37, 9 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
