The article Risk 2210 AD – Terror Tactics Command Deck has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Zero assertion of notability - seems to be a small, unofficial deck of cards available for sale from a fansite. Passing mention in Risk 2210 A.D. seems sufficient.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. McGeddon (talk) 09:48, 30 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Risk 2210 decks[edit]

Hello. I see you reverted the prods with the explanation that the game has been "accredited on multiple sites", but I don't see any reliable sources listed, just BoardGameGeek and a fan site. Are there any other links that would bring it up to the "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject" required by WP:N? Thanks. --McGeddon (talk) 16:27, 30 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Is Boardgamegeek not considered a reliable independent source that provides significant coverage? Which fan site are you referring to? Is a "fan site" something that is referred to in wiki rules or is it a subjective term? Mentions are also given on www.rateitall.com, www.greatgamesexperiment.com, www.boardgameratings.com, www.nobleknight.com, www.fairplaygames.com, www.boardgameextras.co.uk, www.spiritus-temporis.com, bg.geekdo.com. These are the first handful of sites that came up through a google search. Thanks Meeslow (talk) 08:49, 31 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
"Risk 2210 AD Fan Club" is a clearly fan site, and WP:RS rules out "self-published media - whether books, newsletters, personal websites, open wikis, blogs, personal pages on social networking sites, Internet forum postings, or tweets" as sources, unless the authors are "professionals in the field on which they write".
WP:N requires "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject" - so far as I can tell, the list of URLs there are just commercial resellers or submit-your-game directory sites, which fail the "sources address the subject directly in detail" of WP:N. Have you had any reviews in mainstream gaming magazines or websites, or won any design awards? --McGeddon (talk) 09:06, 31 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
