I know Mr Manoj Joshi personally and when we spoke yesterday he complained about wrong information about his birthdate mentioned on Wikipedia page , hence I have edited on his own request . Thanks . 2402:8100:3107:74A7:C0E5:893C:B971:A4B0 (talk) 02:33, 4 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Please be aware that all information added to Wikipedia must be verifiable by a published, reliable source. Information that you know from personal experience or conversations cannot be verified by other people and therefore cannot be added to Wikipedia. You will need to find a published source for the information you want to add. See WP:V and WP:RS for more details. CodeTalker (talk) 02:54, 4 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Makes sense! I don't doubt the conversation took place, however the source would need to be cited in order to remain part of a Wikipedia article.
I did a brief Google search and was unable to find and sources with the date 14 December (except a few which seem to pull from Wikipedia).
Take a look at the Biographies of Living Persons policies to see what can serve as a source.
While I was searching the changes you made were reverted by another editor as unsourced; I would encourage you to find a published source that can be cited before adding the new birth date again. You can also begin a discussion on the article's talkpage if you'd like to let other editors know that the birth date is incorrect, but you are unable to find a published source. Someone else may be able to find a source and make the change accordingly. ~Ryan (Talk | Contributions) 03:00, 4 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
