Welcome![edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia! I'm Geniac, the Online Ambassador for your Psychology of Internet Behaviour course. I'm here to help you with your Wikipedia editing assignments. I'll be keeping track of your class schedule and assigned article, so you may see article edits or talk page posts from me if I have advice or questions.

You can make test edits in the Sandbox. You could add {{My sandbox}} to your user page, for easy access to create and then edit your own personal sandbox.

Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); that will automatically produce your username and the date.

If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page, or here on your talk page. You can also check out The Teahouse, or if you need immediate help, you can join the #wikipedia-en-help connect IRC channel.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! --Geniac (talk) 03:56, 8 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Authors[edit]

When creating an article about an author, you should explain how they meet the basic notability criteria for people and, more specifically, the notability criteria for creative professionals. A person is presumed to be notable if he or she has been the subject of multiple published secondary sources which are reliable, intellectually independent of each other, and independent of the subject. --Geniac (talk) 01:54, 10 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The "Show preview" button[edit]

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Regarding your edits to Heather Von Stackelberg, it is recommended that you use the preview button before you save; this helps you find any errors you have made, reduces edit conflicts, and prevents clogging up recent changes and the page history. Thank you. --Geniac (talk) 00:29, 11 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
