Image copyright problem with Image:Kesler2003.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Kesler2003.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

License tagging for Image:Joel Sonnenberg.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Joel Sonnenberg.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

A tag has been placed on Castle Hills First Baptist Church, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable (see the guidelines for notability here). If you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself.

Please read the criteria for speedy deletion (specifically, article #7) and our general biography criteria. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. NawlinWiki 15:16, 2 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

There are literally thousands of individual congregations that are important to their neighborhoods in the USA and the world. Just that, by itself, doesn't make them notable for purposes of inclusion in a general reference encyclopedia. See WP:ORG. Is this church notable or newsworthy for anything other than being a big church? If you can make such claims of notability, can you verify them through reliable third-party sources? If so, then go ahead and try to recreate the article. Again, though, most articles on individual congregations are deleted for nonnotability. NawlinWiki 17:58, 2 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've moved the article to your userspace at User:MattFBC/Castle Hills First Baptist Church. I am not convinced that the dispute over zoning makes the church notable (there are plenty of disputes like that around the country), but it helps your case. I strongly recommend using the newspaper articles as sources rather than the Becket Fund website (given that the Becket Fund was representing the church in court, they're not a neutral source). Good luck with the project. NawlinWiki 18:40, 2 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of Linda Darby[edit]

Linda Darby, an article you created, has been nominated for deletion. We appreciate your contributions. However, an editor does not feel that Linda Darby satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in the nomination space (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and the Wikipedia deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Linda Darby and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of Linda Darby during the discussion but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. Phgao 15:40, 16 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:HolidayInYourHea large.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:HolidayInYourHea large.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 11:30, 7 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image (File:Lindadarby.jpg)[edit]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Lindadarby.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. FileBot (talk) 05:41, 24 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion discussion about Joel Sonnenberg[edit]

Hello, MattFBC, and thanks for contributing to Wikipedia!

I wanted to let you know that some editors are discussing at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Joel Sonnenberg whether the article Joel Sonnenberg should be in Wikipedia. I encourage you to comment there if you think the article should be kept in the encyclopedia.

The deletion discussion doesn't mean you did something wrong. In fact, other editors may have useful suggestions on how you can continue editing and improving Joel Sonnenberg, which I encourage you to do. If you have any questions, feel free to ask at the Help Desk.

Thanks again for your contributions! The Blade of the Northern Lights (話して下さい) 23:41, 7 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Non-free rationale for File:Port of newyork.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Port of newyork.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 00:06, 23 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The file File:Galaxor nebulon1.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unused personal photo. Out of scope.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. --Minorax«¦talk¦» 08:09, 16 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
