A tag has been placed on Zumeo.com, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of Zumeo.com and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from independent reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. -- Shadowlynk (Talk) 19:44, 30 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You can't just describe a company and list who works there on wikipedia. If you want an article on wikipedia, you need to summarize what we call reliable sources. You've already added one with that mail tribune article. I'm willing to help you if you want. I used to live in Ashland and go to OSU. Zumeo's probably going to be deleted, but can make another one that sticks if you want. Reply here or on my talk page. - Peregrine Fisher (talk) (contribs) 21:14, 30 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
OK, the first thing is I moved the mangagement team stuff to the talk page. We can move some of it back later, but it's going to lead to people wanting to delete it right now. The next thing is there needs to be a few sentences before the overview section that indicates Zumeo's significance or importance. The rule it will be deleted under is Wikipedia:Criteria for speedy deletion#A7. You can read that if you want, but basically there needs to be something saying why zumeo is special. Maybe it's the fifth largest web company in Jackson County. It doesn't have to be anything amazing, like largest video sharing site, but there has to be something. The bare minimum for sourcing is two, so the tribune article and the CNBC radio may just cut it. A few more would be nice. So, add a sentence or two why Zumeo is important and we can go from there. - Peregrine Fisher (talk) (contribs) 21:37, 30 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Zumeo is saved for now[edit]

It's still not going to last long the way it is. If you're not sure how important a wikpedia page is, there's a hit counter [1] It only updates once a month, but if the page lasts a couple months, you'll probably find it gets 100-1000 hits a day. Anyways, just reply right here if you want to spend more time on it. I could do it myself, but I don't care that much. One page I made is Cave Junction, Oregon, zumeo won't end up looking quite like that, but I just wanted to show you I know how to make pages that won't be deleted. You should take this opportunity. - Peregrine Fisher (talk) (contribs) 02:23, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The mail tribune article needs to be summarized. I started doing a bit of it as an example. Also, the CNBC radio program needs to be summarized. I can make a nice looking reference if you give me as much info as you can to fill out the citation template we use for radio shows. It's fields are
{{cite video |people= |date2= |month2= |year2= |title= |url= |format= |medium= |publisher= |location= |accessdate=2008-10-02 |time= |quote= }}
An explanation is at Template:Cite video but I recommend filling out the ones that make sense and leaving the rest blank. An article needs two sources to avoid deletion (see WP:Notability), so it's in danger until that radio interview is added. - Peregrine Fisher (talk) (contribs) 02:57, 2 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
