They who misnamed themself will misname and their neighbours[edit]

"We" is the Wikipedia community, which has laid down these rules in WP:NCON and related policies. And no, it is of course not a "double standard", because it applies to everybody. Everybody gets to decide how to name themselves; nobody gets to decide how to name their neighbours. And yes, we could easily get rid of MOSMAC altogether, if it wasn't for the fact that the Greek editing community has been putting up an insane amount of disruptiveness and obstruction, and unfortunately we can't ignore their sheer revert-warring firepower, so we've had to accept a few compromises, short of having the lot of you banned. Alexander the Great is Albanian as Pirro[edit]

Alexander the Great is an Albanian nation myth just as it is Skenderbeu and Pirro burri.. ….Alexander the Great is a Macedonian King and an ancient Albanian King more then anything else.. Sources:

  • See it like the language as located linguistically and geographically beetwen Illyrians in the west and Thracian in the east . like G. Bonfante (Rend. Linc. 1987, 83–5), look towards Illyrian; others, like I. I. Russu (Macedonica = Ephemeris DacoRomana 1938, 105–232), towards ‘Thraco-Phrygian’ The are reports that Greek scholar treating the issue with “real dogma” and “nationalist tone” . The Greek scholars, like G. Hatzidakis (1897, etc.) and above all J. Kalléris, Les Anciens Macédoniens 1 (1954), 2/1 (1976) [no more published; repr. 1988], have turned this assumption into a real dogma, with at times nationalistic overtones. • The potential of the Macedonian kingdom was realized by Philip II. By defeating the northern barbarians and incorporating the Greek-speaking Upper Macedonians he created a superb army which was supported economically by other peoples who were brought by conquest into the enlarged kingdom: Illyrians, Paeonians, and Thracians—with their own non-Greek languages—and Chalcidians (see chalcidice) and Bottiaeans, both predominantly Greek-speaking. ‘He created a united kingdom from many tribes and nations’ by a policy of tolerance and assimilation.Later the conquered territories split up into kingdoms ruled mainly by Macedonian royal families, which fought against one another and contended for the original Macedonian kingdom "Macedonia" Oxford Dictionary of the Classical World. • For non-Greeks to be ‘Hellenized’ (see hellenes) was, most obviously, for them to learn to speak Greek, but in the ‘Hellenistic’ period (from the death of Alexander (2) the Great in 323 BC to the victory of Octavian at Actium in 31 BC) much more than the Greek language was diffused, to different degrees in different places, over the area that Alexander had conquered. Often the eventual outcome was not so much the diffusion of Greek culture as the fusion of practices Greek and non-Greek. "Hellenism, Hellenization" Oxford Dictionary of the Classical World. Ed. John Roberts. Oxford University Press, 2007. Oxford Reference Online
  • Evidence from phonology indicates that the ancient Macedonian language was distinct from ancient Greek and closer to the Tracian and Illirian languages.*It is to be assumed that the Macedonian dialect (or language) succumbed to Attic Greek..during the Hellenistic Age. W. B. LOCKWOOD 1972 Oxford Dictionary of the Classical World. Ed. John Roberts. Oxford University Press, 2007.
  • Languages for which Illyrian origin is claimed or disputed are Venetic and Messapian in ancient Italy, Macedonian, and Albanian. • Just imagine what would happen if Alexander the Great returned! Or Pyrrhus, who in his day fought so brilliantly against the Romans! They would hardly be able to recognize their country, but would leave again full of contempt, because it was no longer a home of freedom as in their day. The present squalor is so overwhelming that the author fears he will be unable to convince his readers that Albania was glorious not only in antiquity, but also during the immediately preceding period. Freedom reigned supreme, where now slavery has spread. In those times the whole world looked to Epirus in admiration, where now the only question is whether fortune will never weary of plaguing the country. History of Byzantium[edit]

Timothy Gregory in his History of Byzantium (2005) pp.157-158: In addition, it is now generally agreed that the people who lived in the Balkans after the Slavic “invasions” were probably for the most part the same as those who had lived there earlier, although the creation of new political groups and the arrival of small numbers of immigrants caused people to look at themselves as distinct from their neighbors, including the Byzantines. The sixth-century western historian Jordanes claimed that there were three groups of Slavs: the Venethi, the Antae, and the Sclaveni, each of which, in his time, lived in different areas outside the Byzantine Empire. By the middle of the sixth century Byzantium began to make use of Slavic groups as foederati, but many of them simply crossed the Danube and settled on imperial territory on their own. Justinian’s considerable effort to fortify this frontier apparently had little effect…..Probably more significantly, most of the cities of the Balkan area ceased to exist in the late sixth and/or the seventh century, and social life changed dramatically. Thus, to return to the broader issue of what happened in the late sixth or the early seventh century, we should try to understand why and how Byzantine political and military control essentially disappeared from most of the Balkans

Arvanites are the essential part of modern Greeks[edit]

While Albanians (Epiriot and Macedonians) are remains of former Hellenic tribes. Arvanites are the remains Hellenic tribes too (as Albanians) and in the same time the essential part of moderns Greeks

http://www.davidrumsey.com/detail?id=1-1-29860-1140595&name=Greece I think that you have a very long tradition in bilingualism and not only that. The Hellenistic period included Epiriot and Macedonian in overall Hellenistic tribes and they adopt in certain level the koine dialect developed and similar with their own dialect you call them Greek and I call them Albanian but I would say Helens and not Greek actually

They are :“gjaku jone I prishur “ so why you do not make a genetic studies, in fact they are and you have claim before that you are genetically and anthropologically the same with native Greek, if you are not originally Albanians then what are you, lol  ??Maybe if you make a genetic study with to day Albanians Epirot and Macedon, you will be happy if DNA shows significant differences and this is enough to prove that you are different because your Hellenic ethnography is almost lost , you lived more in south anyway and you were privilege in history from you brothers but them in difference from you they kept their native language and ethnos and probably are more Hellenes then you .With whom you intermixed anyway? I have heard that you like marriages with Albanians, it cleans your blood, but you have some conditions, the first to learn and to speak common modern Greek and believe in orthodox church. Why you do not try first to make your language official and some other things, what are you doing actually obscures your Hellenic identity …

Dear Giorgos thank you, , what you say it is true i may be persistence to change a reality and this put me somehow in romantic side of the people. Well I can not stay without emotion when I hear a polyphonic song from Epirus or see the Chamika or Epirotic dance or see a 18th century picture of Arvanites fighters or understand that behind this country which is called Greece it is actually the same culture and ethnic background. I decide to write to you because I was fascinating from you deep knowledge and understanding, I mean if we had people like you… . Nothing wrong with the Greek you use, I have knowledge of the language I must say as “foreign language”, it is your choice but I really like to hear some Arvanitika…which for me is language of Gods of Greece as Kolas said and I believe it is.

May ask you with what view of mine you disagree?

Every nation must have It is own historical identity clear out, I have to say that it is been a try to change, distort or not mention facts of Albanian history and if ti come now different the foreigner will be interested for this too I believe .I quite agree with you about traditional values of our nation Albanian and Arvanites but the values to pass to other generation must have certain condition and all of this overall it is a nation identity which passed from war to war from dictate to dictate and form injustice to injustice, Albanians must have only sometime in peace to express and crystallized this identity , some have their duty to make this possible. May I ask you do the other Greeks share the same thought with you because I have been faced with some really extremist which play the part of lion protecting Greek interest in any Albanian related article .What I believe that we shall have not a contradiction in interest , is nothing wrong to be open. I will appreciate if you inform me of any progress or publication in research that you have been updated or are aware, in fact it is boom of publication in Albanian history, linguistic actually but it should be properly presented in scholarship through conferences and scientific gatherings .

I have dream and my dream is Arvanitia I don’t know what the next generation will think or do about maybe I may be the last one to have it; a new conscience can be created. We have responsibility to the history and we can be more Romans then Romans (instance modernize) the time of nations ancestry& ethnography main similarity characteristic will never end. Coffee ?? thank you with pleasure
