A tag has been placed on The Grange (car dealership) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. - Random! I've never edited Wikipedia on this topic or any similar topic. And I don't speak for Wikipedia, but for what it's worth, what Wikipedia wants is facts from reliable third-party sources. Lwarrenwiki (talk) 13:20, 26 March 2017 (UTC)

Cracked and Game of War
Yesterday I removed a section on Game of War that hevily quotes Cracked.com, a humor website. I would not really consider this a reliable source, because due to their cont their going to likely exagerate the problems of the game. They do not have the same journalistic goals of the say a 1up.com or Gamespot, and we probably shouldn't be using them in such a capacity
Can you explain why you reverted this. --Deathawk (talk) 00:07, 17 September 2017 (UTC)
- When I was expanding this article last year, I looked for informative published reviews of the game. It's true that the Cracked review was opinionated, and that its opinions were expressed humorously. However, in addition to opinion, the Cracked review included factual content. I assessed this particular review as a reliable source, based on its detailed description of verifiable facts about the game – some of which are corroborated by other sources, and others of which I recognized as objectively accurate based on my own familiarity with the game.
- At your prompting, I have now moved the reviewer's opinions into the "Reception" section, alongside other reviews (which are mostly consistent with the Cracked review). Thank you for that; it fits better there. Lwarrenwiki (talk) 03:05, 17 September 2017 (UTC)
- That's fair I guess. Yeah, my chief concern was that there's been a lot of editors trying to POV push in the article, and I thought that the Cracked article was an attempt to sneak a fast one by. --Deathawk (talk) 05:31, 18 September 2017 (UTC)
- I've seen the POV-pushing there too, all negative, and much of it in the form of sincere and wholly inappropriate edits by newbies, which I've reverted as vandalism. There's not much balance to be found in the sources, since reviews of the game (which is notable for its financial success) are consistently negative. - @E.M.Gregory: Thank you. My first one! Lwarrenwiki (talk) 20:43, 3 October 2017 (UTC)
Thanks
For that "Other Talk page banners" collapsed thingy on Talk:Alexander Hamilton - I had never seen it before but I'll be using it in the future. Wanted to let you know that I did adjust it a little bit because there was an odd blank space at the end of the nested Article History template. You'll see what I mean if you go into the previous version and "Show" the Other Talk page banners - I couldn't figure out how to fix it elegantly (and, believe me I *tried*) so I decided to place the template outside the "Other..." section. If you can figure out some other way to get rid of that odd blank space, have at it. Thanks again, Shearonink (talk) 06:15, 5 November 2017 (UTC)
- @Shearonink: I didn’t know about the {{Banner holder}} template until yesterday either! But I felt the need for it, and I assumed there would be a template for that if I searched for it, and so there was. It lacks documentation, but it worked well enough except for the spacing problem you saw. Maybe someday I will take a stab at fixing and documenting that template – I like the concept. I'd previously created the layout with small side banners at Talk:Alexander Hamilton in an effort to reduce the extreme length of that banner section! Lwarrenwiki (talk) 14:01, 5 November 2017 (UTC)
- Oh yeah it was getting SO long/unwieldy...I admit - I was a little disheartened when I realized the "things to work on" bits hadn't apparently been worked on since they were placed in that template in 2008. The small ones were a good idea but seemed a little bit out of the usual layout - I was concerned that people would miss the info. I lovelovelove the "other banners" thingy, getting some documentation up for that template would be awesome too. Shearonink (talk) 16:10, 5 November 2017 (UTC)
