Jancis Robinson[edit]

Hi there. I've removed the reference to the Oliver Styles piece in Decanter from Jancis Robinson because the source does not support the paraphrasing as written. According to the linked version of the article, Parker accuses "Old world" wine critics of classism etc, not specifically Robinson. Taking this general statement and representing it as being specifically about Robinson does not serve our readers. As it doesn't have anything to do with Robinson in particular, it is misleading to put it in the article. A more appropriate article for this material to appear might be Robert M. Parker, Jr.. — Saxifrage 07:13, 4 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Newpaper-clipping-style quotes are really not appropriate for an encyclopedia. I don't think nothing should be said about the rivalry between Parker on the one side and Robinson and Johnson on the other, but it should be described, not presented in a series of disjointed quotes. That sort of reporting is what Wikinews is for. — Saxifrage 05:48, 7 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
