Conflict of interest[edit]

Hi Kyeller, all of your edits so far were either to the GreenFacts article or to topics directly related to the agenda of this front group. Given that and noticing that you live in relatively close vicinity to this organization, I kindly ask you not to edit the GreenFacts article if you have close personal or professional relationships with this organization per our Wikipedia:Conflict of interest guideline. Thanks, Cacycle (talk) 00:27, 17 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Cacycle. I am not related to GreenFacts. I consult their website frequently, as well as many of my scientific colleagues. None of us has ever found any flaw in their summaries, so we have many reasons to believe that it is a very unbiased reference website on the topics covered - and not reason to believe that it has anything of a "front group". And I will continue to ensure that the article on GreenFacts remains free from smear and conform to the Wikipedia spirit.
Reverting you comment, if you are affiliated with the Center for Media and Democracy or any related organisation, you should refrain from editing this article! --Kyeller (talk) 14:26, 7 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Kyeller, Im making the same observation as Cacycle. Can I understand from your comment that you are no affiliated with GreenFacts? I myself was affiliated with a Brussels based environmental organisation which was offered 500 euros or so to review one of GF's studies, which has made me weary of the organisation ever since. -- eiland (talk) 11:28, 9 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, Eiland. Sorry for answering so late, but I am really overworked. Indeed, I am not affiliated with GreenFacts. I don't know what amount of work requires the review of a GF study, but I can can imagine it's probably more than a day. If it's the case, GreenFacts is rather cheap: both me and my scientific colleagues are often offered 1000 to 1500 euros for one day of scientific review... Hi. Well, I dont know about your branch, but ni the NGO world this is wholly unacceptable -- eiland (talk) 11:29, 19 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
