Welcome but be careful

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Here are suggested readings: WP:SECONDARY and WP:COI. The gist of these guidelines are:

  • Wikipedia prefers citations to reviews and books, not journal references (tens of thousands appear annually). Citing secondary sources is the encyclopedic style.
  • Do not cite yourself or your colleagues. It's called conflict of interest. Many new editors cite themselves mainly. That behavior is inappropriate.

Nonetheless, I do hope that you have the knowledge to expand the paramagnetic NMR spectroscopy article with general knowledge. If you have questions, many editors can offer advice. Happy editing.--Smokefoot (talk) 12:42, 20 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

ok boss. Thanks I have deleted! Kushana123 (talk)

Well you can still contribute - hopefully you have the ability to share some general knowledge not tied to your publications?--Smokefoot (talk) 13:11, 20 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Sure. Will do it ! I am new to Wiki editing, need guidelines from people such as you and others; I honestly welcome. But I see there are many who quote themselves and their colleagues if it is significant. And it is left to users to decide whether to take it or not. This is how we do opensource knowledge, don't we?
