Hi - you previously blocked 64.108.146.33, and it has expired, allowing the kids (it's obviously a school in Janesville, WI) to continue rampant vandalism. Could you please block again? Thanks!Iulus Ascanius (talk) 18:12, 19 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The article on Sonal Shah is not balanced and I am not sure why you reverted it back.

your revert

[edit]

Please explain why you reverted my edit. Per policy, IP users may remove content from their user talk pages just like anybody else. I removed stale warnings and placed a notice pointing out the IP is shared by BlackBerry users. Please revert your edit; it was not constructive. 206.53.144.101 (talk) 20:33, 28 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, i was getting to explaining when you reverted my edit. If you look at the Peaches (artist) page you can see that there are two history sections I deleted the redundant one. - Jeff Klassen

Block

[edit]

Hello, sir. Regarding this block, they've vandalised their talk page at this diff, so using another IP I've given them a Level 4im warning. However, they've vandalised First Amendment to the United States Constitution at this edit. I don't know why it was blocked for only 24 hours, anyway. --79.74.68.121 (talk) 07:50, 3 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re: my talk page

[edit]

Well, sometimes I don't feel the edit deserves a warning for various reasons. For example, I usually don't warn people for "ZOMG!! I can't believe they actually let you edit this!!!11!!" type edits because I have seen a few cases where I warned someone for that and they started vandalizing (I'm not sure if it was connected, but it's definitely possible). Also, there are some cases where I don't really want to let the vandal know that their edit has been reverted because they will come back to vandalize the page again. Need advice

[edit]

Hi Kukini, I have a question and thought of you. I was asked by another editor to help with a dispute and I think the original issue is solved. However, the other editor involved has multiple accounts that are declared on the individual account pages. The article involved has been heavily edited by this user under all three accounts. Although I cannot find any malicious edits, would this be condidered sockpuppetry? The article involved is Paella and the other editor is User:LuisGomez111. Your help would be appreciated. Shinerunner (talk) 21:36, 7 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Problem solved, the editor in question was indeed using sockpuppets and has had his accounts blocked.Shinerunner (talk) 11:02, 27 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please do your research before performing erroneous reverts. All Muslims believe the same thing regarding Jesus. 69.115.150.3 (talk) 19:50, 9 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Not even all Christians believe the same thing regarding Jesus. --Kukini háblame aquí 19:51, 9 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I fail to see how that is relevant. 69.115.150.3 (talk) 19:53, 9 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
It is erroneous to state that all of any group believe the same thing about anything. Although, you might say that certain beliefs are common, for example: Jesus in Islam. Kukini háblame aquí 19:55, 9 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Really? Where does that article indicate there is a difference of beliefs among Muslims? The only place you may find a difference is among the Ahmadis, an ostracized group. Even then, Mohammad Hussein Fadlallah is not an Ahmadi and that section about Jesus in his article is therefore redundant. 69.115.150.3 (talk) 20:00, 9 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I left off the item you deleted. Although I do not agree that all Muslims or all Christians or all Hindus believe the same thing about pretty much anything. It is far to sweeping of a generalization. Perhaps the wording in the wiki article I referenced needs to be cleaned for accuracy. Peace,Kukini háblame aquí 20:09, 9 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism Notice

[edit]

Hi - I got a message from you with respect to my user address. Your assessment was absolutely correct, in that the IP address is registered to the City of Toronto (where I work). To be clear, I registered as soon as I started coming to Wikipedia, and don't make ANY edits unless I'm logged on. Additionally, if you check the records, you will see that I registered around the end of Aug, 2008, which is when I began coming here. The record of incidents for this IP address go back for MONTHS before that! I'm not sure who here is playing games with vandalism etc. (heaven knows, we employ a few immature idiots, just like lots of other big employers), but I am here as a contributor. You've got the wrong guy! You can verify my contributions and participation with those at the WPMED Task Force on Emergency Medicine and EMS, or with User:WhatamIdoing?, who has reviewed and edited most of my contributions. Just responding to your contact. I hope this sorts out some of the confusion! Cheers Emrgmgmtca (talk) 10:03, 10 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Whoever or whatever is behind 199.216.233.3 seems to only be capable of going into pages and deleting information since 2006. I think it'd be prudent to investigate and give them a fatter block period. Thank you, Sopwith07 (FRASER)

Hey, thanks for reverting Denidowi's insert of that paragraph for lack of citation. I would advise (I am but a lowly gnome, but I would advise) that it be kept out of the article - she tried inserting it several times in the past few days, sometimes with a citation and sometimes without, but a citation won't make something true, and antifeminism is alive and well. Refusing to accept untrue content on Wikipedia is hardly censorship, whatever she may claim... Roscelese (talk) 00:44, 18 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I am going to complain

[edit]

If you delete my work I am going to complain. Please read the old article to see how badly it was written.

Baia Mare (2)

[edit]

If Wikipedia encourage the badly written articles, like Baia Mare is right now, then I have no option but to close my account and never visit this website again. I just wanted to make a contribution to the world and to present the Baia Mare, my hometown. But it seems that for you is quantity and not quality that matters. Not to me!

Quality does matter on wikipedia, as does protocol that demonstrates respect for the views and work of other editors. Your edits do things such as delete people who are clearly notable and add people who have no current evidence of notability. Such work does not seem to be improving the article. --Kukini háblame aquí 14:18, 4 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

If it does matter... what about the following

[edit]

The city is situated in the vicinity of the Gutâi and Igniş Mountains and then The city is situated in the Baia Mare valley

History, is very difficult to read, as there is a free translation from Romanian language with no paraghraphs. Moreover, some wording is nonsense such as Bronze Epoch

The Natives sections, which by the way, I created, include some not very important names, such as Balmos, a footballer who never played above the fourth league. I just wanted to clean it up. Finally, the article presents a distorted reality, which you can't tell it because you do (did) not live in the town. For example, how come Baia Mare can be named "city"?!

But I had enough. Unless you apology to me, I am out of here.

Please see your talk page. --Kukini háblame aquí 15:05, 4 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, and I should translate what I replied to him about you: "The user in question, being an administrator, is probably (not certainly, but probably) trying to help you - it's important that we assume good faith." Dear Friend,

Thank you for the firm but friendly reminder. Sorry for not leaving reasons for editing. Sometimes I don't realize it's that important. I will from now on. I mainly "improve" articles that fail in proper English prose. And, I also wish to be thorough so the audience or readers are given more information that some articles lack.

"Duanesburg High School"

[edit]

Hi there,

I was looking for a page for my old high school, Duanesburg High School, and found that one had been deleted on Feb. 11, 2008, apparently for containing negative and untrue information regarding some living person. Instead of starting a new page, is there any way to get the old one back, but with the offensive parts removed?

Thanks!!

Thanks for your warm welcome and editing assistance, Kukini

[edit]

Hey Kukini:

Thanks so much for your warm welcome and editing assistance. As a wikipedia newbie, there's much to learn. I added much material for US and international audiences as I have taught SC abroad and in the US. I'm frustrated by the current spanner that says the article still leans primarily toward USA when it is more internationalized than it was, but we're limited by what is/is not being done by counselors outside the US on the page. Any ideas for how we can increase the internationalization even tho we know that SC is still primarily a US-centric profession; my goal in editing is to INCREASE the internationalization of SC, so I'm all for more voices here.2yummy (talk) 02:29, 4 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Nick Sideras

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Nick Sideras, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

appears to be a "fake" article - external links either do not exist or do not mention subject at all

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. CNN Article - Got some citations for you. Please Help Me with the Unreliably Sourced Statement

[edit]

Hi. I saw your comments on the CNN talk page in which you claimed - in response to another user's claims that CNN had a liberal bias - "Please add citations to back your claims. Avoid using weasel words when making claims." Well, here are some peer-reviewed, scholarly articles to back that claim:

-->Jeffrey N. Weatherly, et al, “Perceptions of Political Bias in the Headlines of Two Major News Organizations,” Harvard International Journal of Press/Politics (2007) (12), 91 at p. 97 (finding that “Overall, participants . . . rated the headlines from CNN as significantly more liberal than those from FOX News. . . . CNN tilted more to the left than did FOX News. The conclusion that CNN’s headlines were perceived as more liberal than FOX News’, rather than FOX News’ headlines’ being perceived as more conservative than CNN’s, is supported by the finding that overall, the headlines from FOX News were rated slightly on the liberal side of neutral. If FOX News’ headlines had been perceived as biased toward the conservative viewpoint, then the overall ratings should have exceeded 50 percent.”)
-->Joan Shorenstein Center on the Press, Politics and Public Policy, Harvard University, & Project for Excellence in Journalism, “The Invisible Primary – Invisible No Longer: A First Look at Coverage of the 2008 Presidential Campaign,” p. 32 [3] (noting that “The CNN programming studied tended to cast a negative light on Republican candidates—by a margin of three-to-one. Four-in-ten stories (41%) were clearly negative while just 14% were positive and 46% were neutral. The network provided negative coverage of all three main candidates with McCain fairing the worst (63% negative) and Romney fairing a little better than the others only because a majority of his coverage was neutral.”)

Please note that at the beginning of the CNN article (fourth paragraph down), the following statement appears: "Among the general public, CNN has a more centrist perception.” The source for this proposition is FAIR, FAIR being a “progressive media criticism organization” whose “target invariably is bias on the right” [4]. Needless to say, FAIR is not a reliable source. Will you please help me to get rid of this statement on the CNN article? It not only is backed by a patently biased source, it is actually REFUTED by peer-reviewed, university-sanctioned sources. Thanks. Jm131284 (talk) 03:54, 23 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Maria Dimitrova picture rights

[edit]

I already contacted the press secretary in charge on the department, which deals with article and pictures for that Gov. wing.

The article is 100% typed by me, using the data offered (reputable + confirmed) in translation. The picture is 100% free of copyrights issues, since all press releases (printed/electronic) are required to be under law (Dominican Republic derechos intelectuales en publicaciones de caracter publico, en uso de medios del estado *Ley organica de derechos reservados en la prensa estatal, art 301 guion 2 sec 5 derechos de prensa y publicaciones de caracter oficial y del estado) for public/gov issues.

Being this a gov office, timing is not one of their best assets...

As indicated, I asked for the release rights to be e-mailed from the mail server with the same source as the picture/article.

I'll be resending (forwarding) the e-mail to your address provided as soon as that takes place! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Reynaldopichardo (talkcontribs) 17:23, 4 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Questions about BLP noticeboard

[edit]

Kukini, could you clarify how this works? I placed a complaint against a user for a disruptive edit (which violated WP:BLP, no revert without consensus). All I got for that was two personal attacks posted there in response; as far as I can tell, no action was taken on the original complaint. Am I expecting too much? What exactly should I expect after making a complaint on the BLP (or other) noticeboard regarding a disruptive editor? I was considering making a complaint about the NPA violations, but will that work any better than the BLP notice?

See BLP noticeboard at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Biographies_of_living_persons/Noticeboard#Mark_Levin

Suspension of admin privileges due to inactivity

[edit]

Following a community discussion in June 2011, consensus was reached to provisionally suspend the administrative privileges of users who have been inactive for one year, meaning administrators who have made neither any edits nor any logged actions in over one year. As a result of this discussion, your administrative privileges have been removed pending your return. If you wish to have these privileges reinstated, please post to the Wikipedia:Bureaucrats' noticeboard and the userright will be restored per the re-sysopping process (i.e., as long as the attending bureaucrats are reasonably satisfied that your account has not been compromised and that your inactivity did not have the effect of evading scrutiny of any actions which might have led to sanctions). This removal of access is procedural only, and not intended to reflect negatively upon you in any way. We wish you the best in future endeavors, and thank you for your past administrative efforts. Suggestion for WikiProject United States to support WikiProjeck Arizona

[edit]

It was recently suggested that WikiProject Arizona, to which you are a member, may be inactive or semiactive and it might be beneficial to include it in the list of projects supported by WikiProject United States. After reviewing the project it appears that there haven't been much active discussion on the talk page in some time and the only content updates appear to be simple maintenance so being supported by a larger project might be beneficial. I have begun a discussion on the projects talk page to see how the members of the project feel about this suggestion. Another user has added the project to the WPUS template and I added it to the list of supported projects in the WPUS main project page but before I take any further action I wanted to contact each of the active members for their input. --Kumioko (talk) 13:32, 7 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Talk:Accounting system, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

"Accounting software" should be separated from the article for "Accounting systems." The two are entirely different subjects. If there is no separate entry for "Accounting systems", there should be, but, in any case, the entry for "Accounting systems" should not be a REDIRECT to "Accounting software"! The REDIRECT is a disincentive to creating an "Accounts systems" entry. The software is a means of keeping accounting records; it has nothing to do with the various accounting systems and the int'l accounting standards.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. The Gnome (talk) 10:11, 13 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Notice of change

[edit]

Hello. You are receiving this message because of a recent change to the administrator policy that alters what you were told at the time of your desysopping. The effect of the change is that if you are inactive for a continuous three year period, you will be unable to request return of the administrative user right. This includes inactive time prior to your desysopping if you were desysopped for inactivity and inactive time prior to the change in policy. Inactivity is defined as the absence of edits or logged actions. Until such time as you have been inactive for three years, you may request return of the tools at the bureaucrats' noticeboard. After you have been inactive for three years, you may seek return of the tools only through WP:RFA. Thank you. MBisanz talk 00:20, 4 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Stumbled across your page, and after a curiosity check, found you haven't been around in awhile and just sort of stopped all of a sudden. I hope you don't mind, but I added you to the page above. Feel free to remove yourself as long as you make it clear you do not wish to be readded (I would suggest using an edit summary for that; that way it'll always be in your edit history so anyone who goes looking will see it). God bless, LazyBastardGuy 06:26, 17 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Wiki Loves Pride 2014

[edit]

Hi Kukini. In case you are not aware, there is an upcoming campaign to improve coverage of LGBT-related topics on Wikipedia, culminating with an international edit-a-thon on June 21. See Wiki Loves Pride 2014 for more information. If you are interested, you might consider creating a page for a major city (or cities!) near you, with a list of LGBT-related articles that need to be created or improved. This would be a tremendous help to Wikipedia and coverage of LGBT culture and history. Thanks for your consideration, and please let me know if you have any questions! --Another Believer (Talk) 16:04, 9 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Personal infoboxes in relation to patriotism and nationalism

[edit]

Hi Kukini,

I saw your name on the Wikipedia:WikiProject Discrimination#Participants listing.

There is a discussion at Template talk:Infobox person#Citizenship suggesting a change of emphasis to a Citizenship entry from the Nationality entry.

The idea is to give more facilitation to Patriotism instead of Nationalism and also to allow more freedom of expression in regards to terminologies used.

Contributions are welcomed.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. No inline citations

[edit]

I don't want to edit a page that is about me, but it's frustrating to see the same error for years. The inline citations were removed by someone, I have no idea who or why. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vicky_Brago-Mitchell

2019 US Banknote Contest

[edit]
US Banknote Contest
November-December 2019

There are an estimated 30,000 different varieties of United States banknotes, yet only a fraction of these are represented on Wikimedia Commons in the form of 2D scans. Additionally, Colonial America, the Confederate States, the Republic of Texas, multiple states and territories, communities, and private companies have issued banknotes that are in the public domain today but are absent from Commons.

In the months of November and December, WikiProject Numismatics will be running a cross-wiki upload-a-thon, the 2019 US Banknote Contest. The goal of the contest is to increase the number of US banknote images available to content creators on all Wikimedia projects. Participants will claim points for uploading and importing 2D scans of US banknotes, and at the end of the contest all will receive awards. Whether you want to claim the Gold Wiki or you just want to have fun, all are invited to participate.

If you do not want to receive invitations to future US Banknote Contests, follow the instructions here

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Counselors for Social Justice requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company, corporation or organization that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. get your facts right.

[edit]

213.202.151.220 (talk) 19:43, 11 May 2020 (UTC) I got an unsolicited notice from a user Kukini on a public wikipedia page that I accessed. This user said that I vandalised a Fifa 09 video game page back in September 2008. Was that you? If so, I'd suggest you get your facts right as I never edited a page about this subject. First off, I don't have a wikipedia account. Second, I have a dynamic ip address. If it wasn't you, my apologies for disturbing you.[reply]
