Speedy deletion nomination of ICLAM[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on ICLAM requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Contest speedy removal[edit]

The page ICLAM has been speedily removed during my absence, making it impossible for me to react or make adjustments to the page as required. As webmaster and member of the Board of ICLAM I did not violate any copyright of ICLAM. Some previously mentioned improvements could not be realized until now (like naming the official residence of ICLAM, upon which the ICLAM Board first had to decide, as it had no official residence yet). But apparently it is too late now. What a shame.

The page was correctly deleted according to Wikipedia policy: G12: Unambiguous copyright infringement of https://www.iclam.org/organization. You can review this policy by clicking the links in the notice(s) above. Furthermore, as a member of the board of ICLAM, you are declaring a Conflict of Interest (a Wikipedia policy), in which ...COI editing is strongly discouraged.
Other issues with the article included:
  1. It does not cite any references or sources. Please help improve it by adding citations to reliable sources. (Tagged since October 2010).
  2. It may require cleanup to meet Wikipedia's quality standards. (Tagged since October 2010).
  3. Its lead section may not adequately summarize its contents. Please consider expanding the lead to provide an accessible overview of the article's key points. (Tagged since October 2010).
  4. The notability of this article's subject is in question. If notability cannot be established, it may be listed for deletion or removed. (Tagged since April 2011).
  5. Very few or no other articles link to it. Please help introduce links to this page from other articles related to it. (Tagged since October 2010).
Note that #1 and #4 are is also criteria for deletion, if the article does not demonstrate notability asserted through our reliable sources policy. The article was tagged for long enough without receiving attention and has now been deleted. --Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 12:54, 20 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Too much to do, so haven't even checked the pages and messages. Completely understand and respect your point of view, as you will have to keep the standards as high as possible. Although I could use the upcoming holidays to make the necessary adjustments (which would be quite feasible), can't promise to keep it neat and tidy in the future (working over 80 hours per week). So I'll leave it be. As my account has no value for me nor for you (Wikipedia) anymore, I would like to unsubscribe. But I couldn't find any unsubscribe-button. Any chance youcould do it for me? Best of luck, regards, Robert.
