Trivia[edit]

Please do not re-add trivia sections that have been removed from articles. Trivia sections are frowned upn on Wikipedia (see WP:TRIV) and the one that you insist on re-adding to the Amitabh Bachchan article is a classic example of why such sections are discouraged.

Please stop I[edit]

I took two hours to clean up Amitabh Bachchan's awards page, so please don't revert the page again because you were the one who messede it up. Some of the so called "awards" are not awards at all, some of them are not national at all, and some of them are not supported by reliable sites.

For example, "Voted the 'Greatest Actor' in the film personalities category" by some magazine is NOT a national award and not an award at all. I didn't remove it but move it down to a new section. Some "award" titles MUST have been removed. The fact that Desifans.com names him the best doesn't matter, for the simple fact that it's a blog.

Stop[edit]

Please stop changing the nominations on Filmfare Best Actor Award. Bachchan has received 26 nominations, not 28. ShahidTalk2me 13:33, 7 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

STOP it[edit]

This is the last warning you will receive for your false edits. Bachchan received ONE nomination in 1983, not three. ShahidTalk2me 11:36, 30 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

No no no - it was ONE nomination for THREE roles - see the official site if you want. ShahidTalk2me 11:31, 3 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
This was the time when Filmfare were giving only five nominations per year, they gave him one nomination for three movies - BollywoodHungama is nothing compared to the official site. See this. Anyway - if you choose to take things as you want to, it's your problem. Please stop reverting the article to your version. Done here. ShahidTalk2me 15:34, 3 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Guide to referencing[edit]

Click on "show" on the right of the orange bar to open contents.

Notice[edit]

Please use a proper formatting of references. It's not enough to use "[http...url.com]" - please consider it. You have already been notified about it but did not bother to work according to this generous guidance. Sorry, but you will have to do it. Also remember to use reliable sources. If you do not use the proper format and do not adhere to policy your edits will not be accepted. ShahidTalk2me 10:48, 12 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, I saw you have deleted so many articles from the "List of Amitabh Bachchan's awards, honours and recognitions". I still don't understand that. You have also deleted Such article as, that In June 2000, Bachchan became the first living Asian to have been immortalised in wax at London's prestigious Madame Tussauds Wax Museum. Link: http://www.screenindia.com/news/art-of-cinema-is-a-small-contribution-amitabh-bachchan/441709/ and Bachchan got Honory Doctorate from the Leeds Metropolitan University in Yorkshire in 2007. Link http://www.lmu.ac.uk/internat/region/south_asia/south_asia.htm or http://gulfnews.com/news/world/india/leeds-awards-honorary-degrees-to-3-film-veterans-1.183690

Why have you deleted these 2 big international recognition of Bachchan.

Please use reliable sources, such as mainstream newspapers (or in this particular instance the home site of the award) for citations, not forum posts, blogs, personal websites, gossip pages etc. Active Banana (bananaphone 14:58, 13 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Salman Khan[edit]

I have just posted on the Talk:List of awards and nominations received by Salman Khan page. There seems to be a check or two needed on the article. thanks Chaosdruid (talk) 21:19, 10 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please start using reliable sources when you're adding awards. This has become insufferable and will no longer be tolerated. Also, please do fill in the citations using {{cite web}} and {{cite news}} parameters where required. Being a Wikipedia user for more than 3 years, it's high time you learnt to use them. Last warning[edit]

Please stop vandalising the Shahrukh Khan page, while adding completely irrelevant pages to the issue. Also, the Amitabh Bachchan page is not your fansite, and stop copying verbatim sentences from other articles.

If you do it again, you will be blocked from editing. ShahidTalk2me 11:09, 9 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I am not vandalising the Shahrukh Khan page, but the three articles about Shahrukh as "King of Bollywood" are old, Dec 19, 2008, February 05, 2008 and 4 August 2006. According to BoxOfficeIndia is Shahrukh since 2009 no longer more the King of Bollywood. It's Aamir Khan. And now even Salman Khan is far ahead of Shahrukh. You are wright, Wikipedia is not a fan-site. So how can Wikipedia write nonsense like Shahrukh is the King of Bollywood. He is now where close to Aamir Khan. Check this of BoxOfficeIndia http://www.boxofficeindia.com/cpages.php?pageName=top_actors If you are putting old articles to claim someone as King, than you should put also old articles on the page of Amitabh Bachchan or Dilip Kumar to claim that they are also King of Bollywood. Check also this most recent BoxOfficeIndia.Com Star Power Rankings INDIA 29/10/11 http://www.boxofficeindia.com/manage_stars.php?c=star_ranking_india So, who's the Real King? Amen

The fact that his films don't do that well today does not mean his achievements are all gone. Those who are currently the most successful, good for them. The "King of Bollywood" does not derive from who is he no. 1 at the box office now. It's a nickname, not an old one (see this and this - these are new articles. No one is really a king, but SRK is the one who's referred to by this title, there's a book called like this. BRW, so far his films do the best business in overseas markets, should not be ignored. Disambiguation link notification[edit]

Hi. When you recently edited List of awards and nominations received by Amitabh Bachchan, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Maharashtrian (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

I have change on this page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amitabh_Bachchan that Amitabh Bachchan has been nominated overall 37 times in the Filmfare Acting category. I did also change that he has been nominated for the film Aarakshan in the Filmfare Best Actor category. This is my source http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Filmfare_Award_for_Best_Actor So, I didn't anything wrong. I have only updated the page of Amitabh Bachchan.

I would appreciate if you can put your comments here. - Vivvt • (Talk) 15:52, 9 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
