Welcome!

Hello, Kgmcmanus, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, like Kevin Gregory McManus, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines for page creation, and may soon be deleted.

There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called Your first article. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on this page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! Nathan Laing (talk) 06:39, 13 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Writing about yourself[edit]

First, to clear up any misunderstanding: I didn't delete the article, an admin did. Second, creating a page about yourself presents a clear conflict of interest and usually smacks of vanity. If you are truly notable, wait for a third party to create an article about you. Otherwise, your bio belongs on your user page. Peace. C1k3 (talk) 22:05, 13 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Kevin, I'm the admin who moved your article to your userpage, our notability guidelines for politicians are Wikipedia:Notability (people)#Politicians. My reading of your article is that you don't meet them yet, but I wish you good luck for the future. ϢereSpielChequers 22:22, 13 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

April 2009[edit]

Regarding your comments on User:C1k3: Please see Wikipedia's no personal attacks policy. Comment on content, not on contributors. Personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Note that continued personal attacks will lead to blocks for disruption. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. Thank you.[1].--The Magnificent Clean-keeper (talk) 22:28, 22 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to make constructive contributions to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to George W. Bush, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Please do not attack other editors, which you did here: User talk:The Magnificent Clean-keeper. If you continue, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. [2]--The Magnificent Clean-keeper (talk) 22:36, 22 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive edits, such as those you made to George W. Bush. If you vandalize Wikipedia again, you will be blocked from editing. CardinalDan (talk) 22:38, 22 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

HAHA! Blocked, baby! C1k3 (talk) 10:00, 23 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
