Jadoon

It was not an accidental revert on Jadoon. When looking into it, I discovered that it fitted in an earlier pattern of POV-pushing and sock puppetry. The Banner talk 13:14, 18 October 2014 (UTC)

Escravos GTL

Mark Smedley (talk) 21:48, 18 October 2014 (UTC) MarkSmedley Hello Kethrus. Re Escravos GTL article, I tried to give the source to the footnote 4 as Energy Intelligence, which is a publisher of news about oil and energy. However it appears there is no article on Wikipedia about Energy Intelligence. I probably don't feel competent to set one up at this stage. I amended the Escravos GTL article, as the plant is now complete, and the cost is at least $10 billion. Until my edit, the article said it was nearing completion. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mark Smedley (talkcontribs) 21:42, 18 October 2014 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited A Clue: No, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages John Carlisle and Simon Green. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Blanking

If a user blanks a page they have created, it's G7 not A3. Yes, there is no content, but the blanking is taken as a request for the deletion that they can't do themselves. Of course, if there is any content input by others, G7 is out of the picture. Minor typo correction, adding of categories or tagging doesn't count, and nor does replacement of vandal or author removed text - and nor does removal of content that appears to be justified (spam, blp vio, or similar). Edits by IPs cause a problem, unless they are obviously the author (e.g. created page while signed in, then made 15 edits from an IP). Complicated? Yes. Not my fault... Peridon (talk) 13:12, 29 October 2014 (UTC)

I see, thanks for notifying me so I can avoid future mistakes, Peridon. ----I am Kethrus Talk to me! 13:35, 29 October 2014 (UTC)

how can I get a page published on wikipedia

I had created that page about MetaOption that has been now deleted because apparantly I did not comply with the set guidelines. However, I did not have any intention to deliberately do so. Could you please convey to me how can I get an article about a company like http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mindfire_Solutions published on wikipedia. I have sent a sandbox post for review; how soon can I expect a revert. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 119.226.28.142 (talk) 14:50, 4 November 2014 (UTC)

Before creating an article about a business, I suggest you read what Wikipedia is not, specifically the section on Advertising. You also need to be able to verify what you say with reliable sources and have a neutral point of view (not displaying any bias for or against). --I am Kethrus Talk to me! 14:56, 4 November 2014 (UTC)

TAR

First of all, User:Ryulong decided to make these massive changes to the TAR pages without anyone's consent. This is not the first time Ryulong has done something incredibly frustrating on the TAR pages, and I see people arguing with him all the time and him just ignoring people. Second, this is a massive undertaking to translate the 'Leg' sections into large unbroken paragraphs of English. User:ApprenticeFan's grasp on the English language is not the best. What we have on the pages right now is perfectly fine English, but AF's edits are turning it into something messy and incredibly unprofessional. If these changes are to be made, I should think that someone with a firm grasp on the English language should handle them. Perhaps Ryulong should do it himself. Think about it, this is basically writing an English essay. Someone already left a message on ApprenticeFan's talk page, but he just ignored them. 184.70.8.70 (talk) 17:11, 4 November 2014 (UTC)

The page is readable, if you find it to be 'extremely unprofessional', reword it instead of removing it completely, it does have some information that should be added to the page. It looks fine from where I can see, better than the current page. Please note I do not know anything about The Amazing Race. --I am Kethrus Talk to me! 17:14, 4 November 2014 (UTC)
I will say that the TAR24 page has less mistakes than his previous edits to TAR1 and TAR2, but that's because TAR24 was a much simpler race. It just frustrates me to see basic English problems like the following: "Teams started a leg and take a campervan for the rest of the leg and traveled to Rotorua with a ferry from Picton to Wellington." — Preceding unsigned comment added by 184.70.8.70 (talk) 17:20, 4 November 2014 (UTC)
Just note, Edit Warring is never okay (no matter who's right and who's wrong), I've noticed many people associated with TAW have history of edit warring, try your best to talk it out on your talk pages. --I am Kethrus Talk to me! 17:23, 4 November 2014 (UTC)

The IP's accusations against me are unfounded but he is right about ApprenticeFan's edits. He is not very fluent in English and I told him last week not to go on a massive undertaking like this on his own because of his low fluency. I've restored the season 24 page to its original status. If the Io editor has issues with the formatting,he can bring it up on the season 25 page where it can be discussed.—Ryūlóng (琉竜) 19:59, 4 November 2014 (UTC)

@Ryulong: Can you explain to me why everyone seems so attached to the TAR pages to the point they argue and edit war? --I am Kethrus Talk to me! 20:10, 4 November 2014 (UTC)
I'm afraid I can't.—Ryūlóng (琉竜) 20:36, 4 November 2014 (UTC)
@Ryulong: It seems very petty, something I haven't seen before on Wikipedia, however I am relatively new so I'll probably see more of it. Your comment containing profanity has been removed, it's uncalled for. If you have an issue about the usage of the edit notice there is absolutely no need to be rude about it, but I don't see why the use of that should be you only, although I'm fine if you want me to remove it. It seemed like a nice addition without taking up too much space. --I am Kethrus Talk to me! 20:51, 4 November 2014 (UTC)

New Message

Dude, I got a message from you on wikipedia that you wanted to talk to me or something? I don't know how else should I talk to you, so I thought this might be the way. shoot me an email at [email protected] --Unsigned by 80.187.96.200TALK.

@80.187.96.200: I warned your IP for vandalism. If it wasn't you feel free to disregard it. Chances are you share an IP with someone. Consider creating an account to avoid further irrelevant notices. --I am Kethrus Talk to me! 23:31, 5 November 2014 (UTC)

some day somebody may look on this for history, but if you insist then just tell me how to delete it and I will.Michael.klewinski (talk) 00:20, 6 November 2014 (UTC)

@Michael.klewinski: just wait for an administrator to review it and make a final decision, they may even side with you and keep the page there. I'm just noting that I don't believe the page is of relevance. --I am Kethrus Talk to me! 00:25, 6 November 2014 (UTC)

School districts

Governmental units such as school districts are normally notable, & would always at least be regarded as making enough of an indication of significance to pass speedy; but I deleted the article you had marked for A7 because it was a copyvio--which is of course a much more serious problem. DGG ( talk ) 01:59, 6 November 2014 (UTC)

That's basically what I was marking it for, but I didn't know what to put it under. Thanks for notifying me. CSD G12. --I am Kethrus Talk to me! 02:02, 6 November 2014 (UTC)

Page Deletion? (TheFlyStop.com)

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because... (The fly fishing industry is a great part of our outdoor culture. Do to its slow adaption of the Internet or the very antithesis that being online has with nature. Most of the major manufacturres and retailers dont have any entrys on wikipedia. Winston Rods, Reisa, Patagonia, Sims, The Fly Stop, Sage(farbanks enterprises), Scott Fly Rods, Loon are all huge multimillion dollar operations that are very important to the sport and yet most have nothing. In general the fly fishing content is lacking on the site and I would like to add many new pages to help resolve and provide accurate interesting information so people know where to start Msumvp (talk) 02:16, 6 November 2014 (UTC)

I wasn't entirely sure of what you were referring to, next time please explain what exactly you are talking about in the title. I'm not an administrator, I can't remove your article - I can only suggest it gets deleted, then an administrator reviews it. This should have been posted on the articles talk page (when it existed). --I am Kethrus Talk to me! 12:15, 6 November 2014 (UTC)

Notability factor

Hi, you just reviewed the page I've created and said you don't see a difference between the deleted and new versions. The previous version was deleted because of lack of notability, this time I added the part about parent company, which is the oldest telecommunications company in Canada, and added 2 reliable references (with more details), Cellcom is a pretty large telecommunications distributor in Montreal, and it's a pretty old one too. I believe, if anyone would want to learn more about the history of telecommunications in Canada, they would want to read that page as well. As I'm not an expert wiki writer (working towards becoming one), I'd really appreciate if you could give me a tip on where I'm going wrong, maybe I can fix it by editing. I've read the how-to wiki materials, and thought the history and association to Bell makes it notable enough. Would really appreciate the help, thanks! Poster11 (talk) 13:11, 6 November 2014 (UTC)

Aradial Technologies is a company that provides one of the top AAA on the market and also Billing and Policy Control. I think Wifi Pedia viewer should know that. As well I agree it is good for our commercial to be hear.

Our competitors are all appearing in similar fashion on the Wifi. See: Aptilo Networks, Bridgewater Systems, Juniper, Amdocs and others.

Feel free to mark it as a commercial company like the others. But please do not remove the page, unless you will be fair and remove also the competitors!

Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Oe2k (talkcontribs) 15:59, 6 November 2014 (UTC)

@Oe2k: Please read what Wikipedia is not, specifically Wikipedia is not a soapbox or means of promotion. --I am Kethrus Talk to me! 16:02, 6 November 2014 (UTC)
@Oe2k: the problems with the article have been explained to you before, at User talk:G S Palmer/Archive 1#Aradial Technologies, the last time you created the page. G S Palmer (talkcontribs) 16:06, 6 November 2014 (UTC)

Two reasons Cameron Hepburn is notable

His work has been referenced in two recent news articles (Nov. 2, 3, 2014): http://www.bangkokpost.com/opinion/opinion/441272/why-gdp-is-useless-in-gauging-a-country-wealth and http://www.bloombergview.com/articles/2014-11-02/what-s-wealth-if-you-can-t-count-it

He's Director, Economics of Sustainability, The Institute for New Economic Thinking at the Oxford Martin School: http://www.oxfordmartin.ox.ac.uk/people/550

@AWDeconomicseditor: the reason the article isn't notable is because he hasn't done anything notable, and hasn't received any awards for his work. --I am Kethrus Talk to me! 01:09, 7 November 2014 (UTC)
I declined the speedy. professor at a major university is an assertion of importance--and almost always of actual notability==we've kept about 98% of them, and I don't think we have ever deleted the article of a full professor at Oxford. But it will be necessary to prove notability under WP:PROF,which is best done by showing the citation record. In any case, speedy was altogether inappropriate. DGG ( talk ) 08:43, 7 November 2014 (UTC)
@DGG:My apologies, I was unaware of this. --I am Kethrus Talk to me! 12:50, 7 November 2014 (UTC)

Revert to Lesser Antilles

I Did my research before I added those things and they were very true from all my researcher, and I am sure all the articles were credible, I do not believe i did anything non constructive as I was adding valid information. --71.43.107.50 (talk) 19:14, 7 November 2014 (UTC)

@71.43.107.50: Next time you add to my talk page on a new topic, please create a new section with a new subject. On the topic of Lesser Antilles, you added unsourced content with no mention of this on any reliable sources (I tried to find a source and was unable to find any mention of it). Please see Reliable sources. Thank you. --I am Kethrus Talk to me! 19:18, 7 November 2014 (UTC)

Sir, Please have a look on Rajput article, I noticed that user Rajput334 recently removed some content from Rajput without explaining, infact messing it..Please block him. Thanks Sir.John811jd (talk) 03:01, 8 November 2014 (UTC)

Rollback

Hi Kethrus. After reviewing your request for rollback, I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:

  • Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
  • Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
  • Rollback should never be used to edit war.
  • If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
  • Use common sense.

If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! Beeblebrox (talk) 17:18, 8 November 2014 (UTC)
