Welcome![edit]

Hello, Kausikmaitra, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you edited was Child In Need Institute, which appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.

To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or another editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)

In addition, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for any contribution you make, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation to comply with our terms of use and our policy on paid editing.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Again, welcome!   –Skywatcher68 (talk) 16:09, 11 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • If you have suggestions to make as to ways in which the article should be updated or improved, please discuss these at Talk:Child In Need Institute, giving sources for any content. Thanks. PamD 19:03, 12 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Notice of Conflict of interest noticeboard discussion[edit]

Information icon There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Conflict of interest/Noticeboard regarding a possible conflict of interest incident with which you may be involved. Thank you. VVikingTalkEdits 12:51, 13 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Sir,
We get information from their website and other international journal, then we start the editor section for this purpose I am working as volunteer. This is my first job your valuable suggestion and feedback I can do more later. Thanks I hope sir you understand. Kausikmaitra (talk) 13:47, 13 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
To clarify a couple things: (1) A conflict of interest doesn't have to involve payment; a volunteer working on behalf of somebody has a conflict of interest. (2) Primary sources (their website) need to be used carefully; they are not the best sources, or useful for everything. It's easy to misuse them, e.g. "they're the best in all the land", with a link to their website saying so. (3) Secondary sources are more valuable (e.g. the international journals mentioned). Content should stick to statements that can be supported strictly by what they say. An important advantage to secondary sources is that they help to indicate what is notable. Things on an institution's website may be important to them and their audience, but secondary sources reporting on them suggests that they might be of interest to a Wikipedia reader. signed, Willondon (talk) 15:47, 13 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I have no knowledge, what supporting links , docs are for establishing the information. Needs your valuable support to restore my editable contents. Sir , I have no idea conflict of interest before. I see so I try to edit the update content against the pages. If may I doing wrong so I quit my account. Kausikmaitra (talk) 17:05, 13 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The best way forward is to propose edits on the talk page for the article, not the article itself. It will help to provide secondary sources for the information. Without sources, the change is unlikely to be made. signed, Willondon (talk) 17:10, 13 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Sure , I do follow in future. Kausikmaitra (talk) 17:14, 13 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

You said you were going to start using the talk page to start suggesting edits as you have a COI. Continuing to add in promotional information and/or your organizations preferred version is not what Wikipedia is for. The organization has their own website, can can add anything they want to it.--VVikingTalkEdits 14:27, 19 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

What references refer to[edit]

On the Child In Need Institute article, you recently added two references [1], [2]; unfortunately, they were placed at the end of the automatically generated "References" section, so they are left dangling, without any indication as to what part of the article they're supposed to support. They look like good secondary sources, though, so could you amend the edit by moving them next to the content in the article? Or let us know where they should go in the article body. Thanks. signed, Willondon (talk) 15:13, 18 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I am trying to edit on this article with reference, but expert review i see the old contents i.e already validate that documents are deleted from this article. I want to try to edit this article with update information. But i am very disappointed , i do not want to insert any information that is promotional activities . Since this organization is having 48 years working on Health , Education , Nutrition , Child Protection and Adolescents Girls . Kausikmaitra (talk) 09:05, 20 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I didn't delete those references from the article. I just wanted to know what part of the article they were meant to reference. They seem like good sources, it's just that they're hanging there at the end of the references section without being associated with anything in the article. signed, Willondon (talk) 14:02, 20 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for your response , i am trying to figure out the contents with valid reference Kausikmaitra (talk) 10:56, 4 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I have again reverted your editing which was promotional. You have previously agreed to use the talk page to propose edits rather than directly editing the article. Please do so. Melcous (talk) 11:18, 4 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
then how to justify my post Kausikmaitra (talk) 11:24, 4 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I added external link why it is deleted , the link itself is justify
