A tag has been placed on Dominion Colour Corporation requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for organizations and companies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. February 2010[edit]

Please refrain from introducing inappropriate pages, such as Dominion Colour, to Wikipedia. Doing so is not in accordance with our policies.

You asked why Dominion Colour Corporation was deleted, got an answer, and then went and created Dominion Colour with the identical issues. Please do not recreate the article again without addressing the issues.

For more information about creating articles, you may want to read Wikipedia:Your first article; you might also consider using the Article Wizard. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you.Dori ❦ (TalkContribsReview) ❦ 01:48, 19 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Dominion Colour has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

"References" appear to be nothing more than passing references, regurgitated press releases or directory type listings - certainly not significant coverage.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ukexpat (talk) 02:31, 19 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Dominion Colour, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

Not quite ready[edit]

In my opinion, the article (here) is not quite ready to move into article space. I'll explain why, and remove the request to move this article into article space. Other editors may feel differently, so if you disagree with my reasons, feel free to replace the move request template, and someone else may move it for you.

Wikipedia articles have a specific structure to them, specified in a guideline called Layout (Click on the link to see the details). Your draft doesn't incorporate some of the required elements of the structure. If you read the page, it will help you understand what is needed and how to do it.

One of the important requirements of an article in Wikipedia is that it demonstrate the Notability of the topic. (While this is a guideline, not an absolute requirement and exceptions can occur, they are rare.) I don't feel this article has demonstrated the notability of the topic. This can be accomplished by adding references to reliable sources which support the notability of the topic.

It is important for Wikipedia articles to have references to reliable sources. As a guide to adding references, please see Citing sources and Referencing for beginners. Please add some references to support the factual claims in the draft article.--SPhilbrickT 01:07, 22 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
