[edit]

Hello, I'm CommanderWaterford. I noticed that in this edit to Lipstick, you removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. CommanderWaterford (talk) 12:00, 12 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon with clock
You have been blocked from editing from certain pages (Lipstick) for a period of 2 weeks for edit warring. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  ~ ToBeFree (talk) 22:29, 14 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Please join the discussion instead of making any further reverts

Before the block expires

[edit]

Kanichen, you're normally in a relatively comfortable position: Per WP:ONUS, O revolucionário aliado is the person who needs to gain consensus for their addition.

That said:

  • You have not edited Talk:Lipstick yet. Please join the discussion. For the English Wikipedia discussion process, it does not matter what has already been written on the ptwiki discussion page. You'll need to provide your arguments in English at Talk:Lipstick.
  • You have disruptively personalized the dispute on ptwiki, to the point of being blocked for 24 hours to prevent further personal attacks. If you carry this behavior over to the English Wikipedia, you'll be blocked indefinitely without further warning. Talk about content, not about other users. See WP:ASPERSIONS and WP:NPA for details.

If O revolucionário aliado refuses to discuss the article content, see WP:DISCFAIL for an essay full of important advice. Please actually read it before continuing to edit. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 18:23, 25 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@ToBeFree:, i saw this topic since he made it, but i didnt answer nothing because as you clearly can see: i'm not english-speaker and i do not want to spend more time than i lose trying do discuss with him. Our both main language is portuguese, and he is also bad at portuguese, so i can imagine how annoying can be trying to discuss with him in another language. I tried to argue against that block on me, and i only can see it as invalid because i wasn't even answered. The reason why i intervened in the wiki-en was because he used my words to deliver misinformation:

"Isso sequer tem na Wikipedia em Inglês..." (This doesn't even have in English Wikipedia).

and make these edits to use them as initial argument. I really need to discuss with him? All his sources are tertiary. Kanichen (talk) 23:17, 25 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Kanichen, thanks for asking. Nobody is required to contribute to the English Wikipedia. Discussion in English is only necessary if you would like to continue reverting on the English Wikipedia.
And statements like "This is a tertiary source" are perfectly fine. The policy you may be looking for is "WP:PSTS", which recommends using secondary sources. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 23:26, 25 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@ToBeFree:, he was taught three times about how sources work, in very specific ways and with examples. I don't know if he really learned at the third time, because his reluctance defies logic. I have no intention of discussing at WIKI-EN, but if he comes back with the edits, I will discuss it but I will need you ToBeFree. Kanichen (talk) 23:50, 25 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Sounds like a reasonable solution. I'll happily answer policy questions and help with language issues as far as I can. I don't speak Portugese, though; I can only attempt to copyedit English. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 23:54, 25 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
