Silent Hill Update

[edit]

Hello Rapunzel-bellflower, I saw your message about wanting sources for the possible upcoming Silent Hill (NOTE: Not a video game but a slot machine!?). Here are some sources that can be added:

Hope this helps.--Paleface Jack (talk) 17:00, 21 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Paleface Jack: Thank you for getting back to me! I'm a bit sad to see that it's not a SH game proper, but the article's been updated regardless now. Best wishes, Rapunzel-bellflower (talk) 23:43, 21 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
No problem. Anything to help out a series as influential as this one.--Paleface Jack (talk) 17:21, 25 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Silent Hill 2

[edit]

Hi, Probably an immature move on my part to revert your whole edit, I mainly wanted to undo your changes to the third intro paragraph. Your revision makes it seem like it was largely ignored/criticized by critics in all aspects besides its narrative. ("it generally received praise from video game journalists as a worthy follow-up to the first Silent Hill game" for example). The original paragraph was more truthful, consistent with the rest of the article (and other articles where Silent Hill 2 is mentioned), and gave credit where it was due - while also making notes of the things it was criticized for. The lines "often considered the greatest horror game ever made" and "among the greatest video games ever made" are far more accurate to the game's reputation, as well as the professional reviews that the article cites. SH2 is probably the only game I've seen which has consistently appeared on "greatest horror games ever made" lists. Also, literally in the same article, there are multiple examples of gaming publications ranking the game as either the best horror game ever, or at the very top of the genre. In another Wikipedia article, Silent Hill 2 is again listed as one of the greatest video games ever made.

I'll just undo that one paragraph back to its original form. Sorry for the mixup 50.71.69.96 (talk) 00:33, 24 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

No problem. Are they [1] and [2] by any chance? I took a look in the CSE, and this is what came up. If you'll take a look at the formatting in my post, that might help you in the future with adding links. WP formatting can be a bit tricky. Hey there. Since you were an immense help copyediting Soultaker, I was wondering if you can copyedit the article for Squirm. Its in the middle of a GAN right now but I plan on taking it to FAC afterwards. I think it has potential of becoming a Featured Article as well but will definitely need a fresh pair of eyes looking at it. GamerPro64 05:45, 31 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
