Untagged image

An image you uploaded, Image:Andrews.gif, was tagged with the coatofarms copyright tag. This tag was deleted because it does not actually specify the copyright status of the image. The image may need a more accurate copyright tag, or it may need to be deleted. If the image portrays a seal or emblem, it should be tagged as seal. If you have any questions, ask them at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. -- 00:49, 30 December 2006 (UTC)

Infobox for Imperial Japanese Army Units

Thanks for the extra work. However, please note that Japanese infantry divisions came under many different command structures during their existence, as they were transfered from one field of operation to another. To state the Field Army they were under at the time of dissolution can be misleading. Regards --MChew 15:25, 6 January 2007 (UTC)

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Coatofarmskeio.png)

Thanks for uploading Image:Coatofarmskeio.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Image source problem with Image:BBL mark.gif

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

This is an automated message from a robot. You have recently uploaded Image:BBL mark.gif. The file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the GFDL-self tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as article name or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 15:09, 12 September 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. If you believe you received this message in error, please notify the bot's owner. Speedy deletion of Template:Ja-kh

A tag has been placed on Template:Ja-kh requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section T3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a deprecated or orphaned template. After seven days, if it is still unused and the speedy deletion tag has not been removed, the template will be deleted.

If the template is intended to be substituted, please feel free to remove the speedy deletion tag and please consider putting a note on the template's page indicating that it is substituted so as to avoid any future mistakes (<noinclude>tranclusionless</noinclude>).

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Andrews.gif

Thanks for uploading Image:Andrews.gif. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 04:54, 12 February 2008 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for File:Emblem doshisha.png

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Emblem doshisha.png. Notification of automated file description generation

Your upload of File:800px-Kansai-Big-Six-prefectures.png or contribution to its description is noted, and thanks (even if belatedly) for your contribution. In order to help make better use of the media, an attempt has been made by an automated process to identify and add certain information to the media's description page.

Labelling edits as minor

Hello User:KU. I see your application at Wikipedia talk:AutoWikiBrowser/CheckPage. Normally you would qualify, but I am concerned that you are marking editors with the 'minor' flag that don't qualify for that description. For example, this edit is an extensive revision of a school article. If admins decide to issue the AWB permission, can you confirm that you will stop using 'minor' on substantive edits? Thank you, EdJohnston (talk) 18:45, 1 January 2015 (UTC)

Since you have only made a few edits in the last two years, can you please explain what you would like to use AWB for? Graeme Bartlett (talk) 23:40, 6 January 2015 (UTC)

S-line templates

Hello KU! In your recent changes to railway station articles in Japan, you've been adding a link to Local, which is a disambiguation page:

s-rail-start

s-end

What is your intention for "Local" to point to, if anything? I would think that the normal format for this style of templates is below (I'm not an expert on the rail Manual of Style):

s-rail-start

s-end

Hi. What I was trying to do is to add West Japan Railway Cimpany or JR-West, a quasi-national railway of Japan to the template. Since the railway covers multiple metropolitan areas,I locate the railway under the country section. Hope you understand what I was trying to do then. Thank you. KU (talk) 09:37, 1 August 2016 (UTC)

2019 US Banknote Contest

US Banknote Contest
November-December 2019

There are an estimated 30,000 different varieties of United States banknotes, yet only a fraction of these are represented on Wikimedia Commons in the form of 2D scans. Additionally, Colonial America, the Confederate States, the Republic of Texas, multiple states and territories, communities, and private companies have issued banknotes that are in the public domain today but are absent from Commons.

In the months of November and December, WikiProject Numismatics will be running a cross-wiki upload-a-thon, the 2019 US Banknote Contest. The goal of the contest is to increase the number of US banknote images available to content creators on all Wikimedia projects. Participants will claim points for uploading and importing 2D scans of US banknotes, and at the end of the contest all will receive awards. Whether you want to claim the Gold Wiki or you just want to have fun, all are invited to participate.

If you do not want to receive invitations to future US Banknote Contests, follow the instructions here

Edits to Japanese expressway articles

Thanks for your edits to a couple of Japanese expressway articles over the past week or so. As you may have noticed, I attached a notice to the articles that their junction lists are in need of attention. This is because several of the changes you have made are go against Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Road junction lists. For example, N/A is not a suitable exit number for the lists and all shield icons should be limited to the beginning of the text in each line of the destinations column. Please review the link I included before you make any further edits to those lists. If I have the time for it, I'll get around to bringing the lists back into compliance with the Manual of Style myself. Thanks again. ❯❯❯ Mccunicano☕️ 11:30, 1 November 2020 (UTC)

Thank you for contacting me. I will correct some changes I made, by complying with the Manual of Style. Thanks again. Regards, KU (talk) 09:45, 2 November 2020 (UTC)
