Sailor Moon realated questions[edit]

1. Remember the monster/youma Thetis who with Jadeite did the Romantic Cruise Strategy? Well Queen Beryal was very upset with when Thetis got killed because Thetis originally served under Queen Beryal, not Jadeite. If she served for Beryal then she must have been a special youma/monster. But I watched the episode, she seemed like a normal youma. What made her powers more special then the other youma? The only thing that I can think is that she could summon her group of water youma. Here's a page that lists her powers:http://www.fortunecity.com/rivendell/everquest/90/T/tethys.html

2. There is a website that has a theory on Viluy's mythological orgins: http://www.alltrees.org/anime/willowandoak/sm.myth.php It says this: Viluy might possibly be based on Vili, another of the Norse gods; he was one of Odin's brothers, and was responsible for giving reason to the newly created humans. This would fit with Viluy's scientific orientation, and the Norse root might help explain the snowflake motif in her costume. Here is a very short articles on Vili: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vili Do you agree with this theroy? Neptunekh 07:20, 1 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Applying the WP:CORP criteria for products and services[edit]

UKPhoenix79 has cited several independently sourced product reviews in magazines, to demonstrate that the products satisfy the WP:CORP criteria for products and services. Please revisit the discussion with an eye to determining whether the WP:CORP criteria are satisfied by these published works (and any others that can be found), and thus whether fixing the article is a matter of cleaning it up using sources other than just the advertising and press releases put out by Bose itself, rather than deleting it. Eh, I'd archive it, but I'm lazy. :P But also, I partly noticed it because I've been watching through some of the Japanese episodes (what little Japanese episodes there are on Youtube anyway). I noticed in episode 56 they mentioned that 40 Millennium Mamodo. But the list here on Wikipedia, including the Four Heavenly Kings, totals to 42. Are there any others that would possibly not be from 1000 years ago? The Splendiferous Gegiford 01:54, 8 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I left it blank because I didn't know how to delete it. Someone made the page even though it's supposed to be under M. Bison. Lord Vader 07:15, 8 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Baou (as of this time)[edit]

OK, this is mostly from the latest manga chapter (the anime pretty much abridged this and changed a good chunk...plus a bit more came into light):

The king of the Mamono world is Gash and Zeon's father. (apparantly he won 1000 years ago, not Goren as many idiots keep trying to insist) His most powerful spell are the "Baou" spells, which as we know summon things regarding the giant electric dragon. Gash was born with them...Zeon was not. Gash was considered the "weakling" of the family and was sent far away to a private "boarding school" where he meets several other Mamono. (remember, Kanchome, Tio and several others know Gash from that world) Meanwhile, Zeon spent all his time training and getting extremely powerful, angry that he has to work so hard for this ultimate power while his little twin brother Gash is this weakling that can't tap into the true power of the ultimate spell. Making Zeon even angrier was that Gash was sent to the human world to take part in this tournament for the next king! With this huge ego trip and an obsession to get rid of Gash before the "Baou" power is unlocked, he tracks Gash down and does the memory wipe...which of course leads to him being discovered by Professor Takamine....that's about all I know, but check this link for the latest spoilers that goes probably better than I do...well its translated, but its still Raiku-sama's words: http://community.livejournal.com/konjiki/180217.html#cutid1

August Esperanza Newsletter[edit]

Program Feature: To-Do List
The Esperanza To-Do List is a place where you may list any request, big or small, for assistance. If you need help with archiving your usertalk, for example, all you need to do is list it here and somebody will help you out. Likewise, if you need help with some area of editing on Wikipedia, list it here! Again, any matter, trivial or not, can be placed on this page. However, all matters listed on this page must not be of an argumentative nature. You do not need to be a member of Esperanza (or this program) to place or fulfill requests on this page. If you don't have any requests, consider coming by and fulfilling a few! This program has not been very active, but has lots of potential!
What's New?
In order to help proposed programs become specific enough to make into full-fledged programs, the In development section of the proposals page has been created. Proposals that are promising, but need to be organized in more detail are listed here. Please take a look at what is there, and help the proposals turn into programs.
To improve both the layout and text of the front page, in an attempt to clarify the image of Esperanza, the front page is going to have some redesigning take place. Please take your creative minds to Wikipedia:Esperanza/Front page redesign to brainstorm good ideas.
Many thanks to MiszaBot, courtesy of Misza13, for delivering the newsletter.
  1. In order to make sure all users who join Esperanza are welcomed, a list of volunteers who are willing to welcome new Esperanzians is at Wikipedia:Esperanza/Members#Esperanza_welcomers. Please add yourself if you are interested; we want to make sure all new Esperanza members are welcomed!
  2. The In development section of the proposals page has been created.
  3. Proposals page: Some proposals have been moved to the aforementioned "In development" section, some have been left as a proposal, and others have been archived. For those proposals that were a good idea but didn't necessarily constitute a program, General Esperanzial Actions has been created.
  4. Two small pieces of charter reform will be decided on in a straw poll at Wikipedia talk:Esperanza/Governance. One involves filling the position of any councillors who may leave, the other involves reforming the charter.
  5. Until cooperation with the Kindness Campaign is better defined, it remains as a proposed program.
  6. There is a page for discussing the front page redesign.

Please edit my edits[edit]

I don't know whether you can do this, but I seem to be the anti-UCRGrad editor who is making the most edits. It would be easier for me to revert back to them (after they are reverted by UCRGrad/Insert-Belltower) if other anti-UCRGrad editors edited my edits (edit the latest starkt entry in the history section) instead of the article itself. Hi Danny, I see you tagged the Hirooka Hajime article as WP:CSD:G4 (db-repost). Unfortunately G4 only applies to articles that have previously been deleted following an AfD, not one that has only been previously speedied. I have removed the CSD:G4 tag; you should try adding a different CSD tag or using the Prod or AfD process instead. Thanks, Gwernol 02:18, 28 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hey I got the message and I agree to leave red links off of pages (by the ways I'm not new I was loged out some how and I was formerly known as BurningBashBalition5000) but man I was gonna make an article on the Zatch Bell movie and to tell you the truth the whole info box is new to me and if you don't mind, tell me to make info boxes (the red thing that said template: Konjiki no Gash Bell: 101 Banme Mamono was supposed to be the info box and I whanted to see how I was doing so I saved the page and tried to get infobox info from the Zatch Bell info box). P.S. this is my first Wikipedia chat YYYYYYYYYYYYYYYAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYY. —Preceding unsigned comment added by SoundPound500000 (talkcontribs)

Hey, ugh... listen I took your advice but I decided not to make an infobox but I gave it the wrong name and it took me a while to make so either give me some advice on how to change an article's name or you could just go to Konijiki no Gash Bell: 101 Banme Mamono and make the title Konijiki no Gash Bell: 101 Banme "no" Mamono. —Preceding unsigned comment added by SoundPound500000 (talkcontribs)

One....More....thing. I need you to do me a big favor. I just made the the Sgt. Frog Template and can you fix up the template cause I missed some thing that I didn't find a problem but it came up all wrong. If you need help I'll give a link to the template article: template:Sgt. Frog. —Preceding unsigned comment added by SoundPound500000 (talkcontribs)

PLEASE don't delete the Karara article I made because of the empty space in First Appearance cause.............I HAVE NO IDEA WHEN HER DEBUT WAS so pleas fix it, and as you can see I put the link on this note already and make sure you do it fast before someone else deletes it okay, great. —Preceding unsigned comment added by SoundPound500000 (talkcontribs)

Ken Masters[edit]

But Ken Masters is 178cm tall, I swear it. Type www.everyvideogame.com and then enter "Street Fighter VI" and then play Ken Masters and you will notice that his height is 178cm. And also other American sources say that hie height is 5'10" and 5'10" is 178cm. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Lieutenant Dol Green (talkcontribs)

Sandbox[edit]

How can I contact you with the sandbox? I wanted to tell you that many sources say that Ken Masters is 178cm (5'10") tall. Ken's height is 178cm and also that Street Fighter VI tells that Ken's height is 178cm. It would be better to add Ken's height as 178cm [peak height] or something in that way. You can write KEN MASTERS: And then the box: height: 175cm (SFA), 176cm (SF2) and 178cm (SFVI). —Preceding unsigned comment added by Lieutenant Dol Green (talkcontribs)

OK, but you know the game Street Fighter VI? Do you? Well, I agree with your sugestion. And please tell me how I can block users from editing wikipedia.org, thanks.

www.everyvideogame.com[edit]

and I've already told you that you should enter www.everyvideogame.com and there you can play old videogames from SEGA and NES and so on and then enter: Street Fighter VI Also other sources say that Ken Masters is 178cm tall, there are two different versions of Street Fighter, the American Version and the Japanese Version and you've listed the Japanese version.

Mike Bison (Balrog)[edit]

I don't want to be flashy but some American sources also say that Balrog is 6'5" (196cm) tall.

About Dorothy Norwood and speedy deletion[edit]

You can now use the tag {{Db-copyvio|url=http://whereItWasCopiedFrom.tld}} for any copyvio less than 48 hours old now like in Dorothy Norwood, because the limitation requiring the copyvio be from a commercial source has been removed. Could you use this tag now and show us the URL it was copied from? Thanks. Jesse Viviano 01:51, 11 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I forgot to mention that you should not blank a page when using this tag. It helps speed up the deleting administrator in judging the possible copyvio because he or she does not need to go through the history to read the copyvio. I am sorry for missing this important fact. Jesse Viviano 01:57, 11 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

X3i Television Series[edit]

What would I need to do in order to keep the X3i page up on here? I don't know what more proof you all would need. Let me know if I need more references or anything else. I'm not understanding the criteria on this site. I would just be let down to see the page get deleted after all the work that has been put into it thus far. All we want to do is inform people on the history of the show, the show itself and the shows future. After browsing this site for a long while now, we figured there would be no better place to do so.

Thanks :)

That one could probably be re-added, but having 8 redirects for the same page is just ludicrous. Even 4 or 5 is pushing it, I think. Ral315 (talk) 13:20, 11 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Of course, it's the English wiki web page but my users come from the United States of America, Asia, Africa or Europe.. Why did you put Japanese links? Are they English? No, they aren't.. but you did put them! And because Zatch Bell is licensed in France you have to put my link as well! And let people have a right to know.

discussion[edit]

OK, let me tell you something! 1.) I'm sorry for offending you, that was a disaccord. But I also thaught that you've offended me. 2.) I didn't want to start a quarrel with you but you always think that it's a vandalism if I change the height of Ken Masters. I searched for more informations about Ken and there was standing that he is 178cm (5'10") tall, otherwise you can also enter www.google.com and type Ken Masters height and there you will see that Ken masters is always written as 178cm and I gave you this advice as to add 178cm to his height and you started with your sentence: "We have to end the discussion, it seems that you don't listen..." and that was also an offending for me. I thought that you were inpolite to me and so I've attacked you. And I think that it is a vandalism to start a discuss against real things. because you don't face the truth.

Here in Wikipedia there are hundreds of wikipedians whose work and efforts go unappreciated. One occasionally comes across editors who have thousands of good edits, but because they may not get around as much as others, their contributions and hard work often go unnoticed. The object of this program is to seek out the people which deserve a Barnstar, and help them feel appreciated. With your help, we can recognize more dedicated editors!

Hi Danny. I noticed that you had endorsed my proposed deletion of the Robert Larzelere article. I also admire your resolute stand against vandalism. I would appreciate your opinion on a couple of (loosely related) points:

  1. I have strong reservations of the validity of the principle source document for that article, the (long out of print) book Outrageous Betrayal for the reasons stated (failure to identify its own sources, also the sensationalism and evident bias of the author's viewpoint). Whenever I have taken that up with smeelgova, he has responded that the fact that it was a published book automatically qualifies it as a reliable secondary source. Is this really an accurate interpretation of the wikipedia WP:RS policy?
  2. The book review of Outrageous Betrayal, also written by smeelgova, strikes me as excessively promotional. Is this within the bounds of legitimate usage?
  3. The convention adopted frequently by him when drawing on that source is to blockquote a verbatim extract with a footnote reference at the end. This seems to me designed to leave a casual reader with the impression that the extract is an asserted fact within the article, rather than quotation of a (possibly contentious) third-party opinion. Is this an abuse of the convention, or is it ok?
