City[edit]

Hi. Even if you were at the high-court today to hear the decision, making a change to state that Cork City FC are definitively no longer operating as a club will require a cite.Guliolopez (talk) 14:16, 27 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

File source and copyright licensing problem with File:SamueleEmiliano.jpg[edit]

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:SamueleEmiliano.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, we also need to know the terms of the license that the copyright holder has published the file under, usually done by adding a licensing tag. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged files may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the file will be deleted 48 hours after 17:06, 4 March 2010 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Fred the Oyster (talk) 17:06, 4 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry about that! It was a picture from Emiliano's own Facebook page and therefore I'm not sure of the status of ownership of the image! Either way, he actually didn't sign for Cork City due to FIFA employment issues. Thanks again! --Joseph McSweeney (talk) 17:28, 12 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

July 2010[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Template:Cork City Foras Co-Op squad, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. The reverted edit can be found here. Thank you. Whisky drinker | HJ's sock 16:06, 12 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I've commented you back already but its my mistake for that edit! There's a couple of templates about Cork City now and one or two of them should be put up for deletion, I've marked the discussion pages of the few that should be explaining why! Thanks :) --Joseph McSweeney (talk) 17:24, 12 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits[edit]

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 17:20, 12 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, I'm still learning I guess! :) --Joseph McSweeney (talk) 17:23, 12 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Cork City players[edit]

Hello Joseph McSweeney,

I'm Joaquin008. I saw your recent explanation in the Jonas Piechnik talkpage. Thank you very much for your efforts, but before creating articles about footballers who did not appear in any league match, you should wait until they makes some appearances in primary national football leagues. I suggest you to save the page into a sandbox so you can create the article at the right time. Thanks Joaquin008 (talk) 17:45, 12 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, thanks for the message. As a football fan like you, I hope he makes league appearances as soon as possible to avoid any possible argument about players that have yet to make an appearance in the first team. Since the deletion tag has been removed, I would keep the page and give him the time to rise so that his article could be "more important". Same thing for Kalen Spillane. Thank you again and regards. Joaquin008 (talk) 13:39, 13 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks Joaquin008! Hopefully he will make appearances soon-and the same with Kalen (but he might take a little longer being so young). We'll know more over the next few weeks. Would you be against me leaving in some of these players (even if they've made none or at best one or two appearances) if I put them into a Cork City Youths section? Its quite likely some of our starting players earlier in the year-such as Willie Heffernan and John Dineen-will be moved down to the Youth teams for the remainder of the season. Thanks again for allowing Jonas's article to remain! Much appreciated :) --Joseph McSweeney (talk) 13:46, 13 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Since there are many articles about other Youth teams, I see no problems for the Cork City Youth section. :) Regards Joaquin008 (talk) 13:59, 13 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you! :) --Joseph McSweeney (talk) 14:07, 13 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
