Please do not remove speedy deletion tags from articles. If you do not believe the article deserves to be deleted, then please replace the speedy deletion tag with {{subst:subst:afd}}}, and you can make your case for keeping the article by following the instructions by clicking the "Show" button in the AFD box on your page. Thank you. --NaconKantari 04:46, 16 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove speedy deletion tags from articles. If you continue to do this, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. --NaconKantari 05:39, 16 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

If you continue to remove speedy deletion tags from articles, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. If you do not agree with the speedy deletion tag, place the {{hangon}} tag on the article. --NaconKantari 05:47, 16 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing for violating Wikipedia policy against removing CSD tags. To contest this block, please reply here on your talk page by adding the text {{unblock}} along with the reason you believe the block is unjustified, or email the blocking administrator or any administrator from this list. Note to sysops: Unblocking yourself should almost never be done. If you disagree with the block, contact another administrator. Rx StrangeLove 05:54, 16 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Discussion on Paper Fleet[edit]

I'm copying this here in case Paper Fleet gets deleted before you can read it:

Please do a little research before you delete this. This is an important band. A band with social importance in the city where they are and part of an important scene. I contest that to say otherwise IS revisionist history. - Comment by Jimmydonc

Jimmy, Wikipedia has specific standards of notability for inclusion. You can read about it here: Wikipedia:Notability (music) Paper Fleet doesn't appear to meet the criteria for notability. If I'm wrong, please list what criteria it meets, and also include that information in the article. TomTheHand 16:07, 18 January 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading Image:Montourwatertower.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

someone please help me. I took this photo and I want to release the rights, but the drop down menu for that option isn't working! - Jim

License tagging for Image:Montourwatertower2.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Montourwatertower2.jpg. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 07:07, 8 June 2006 (UTC)

Joe Daniels (vintage British performer)[edit]

A "{{prod}}" template has been added to the article Joe Daniels (vintage British performer), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. The article Mu Wen Pan has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

A search for references failed to find significant coverage in reliable sources to comply with notability requirements. This included web searches for news coverage, books, and journals, which can be seen from the following links:
Mu Wen Pannews, books, scholar
Consequently, this article is about a subject that appears to lack sufficient notability.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. The article Ottomen has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Does not meet WP:MUSIC. In particular, Dancer Dave Records has no Google hits that don't also mention the Ottomen, suggesting self-release.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

File source problem with File:Meathaus1.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Meathaus1.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. — ξxplicit 00:13, 1 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Krachmachernumberone.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Krachmachernumberone.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to [email protected], stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to [email protected].

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Kelly hi! 07:24, 13 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
