[edit]

Do not add slurs, images, symbols, or other content meant to attack, harass, threaten, or disparage certain people or groups based on nationality, race, ethnicity, color, religion, sex, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or other factors. Such content is not tolerated by Wikipedia and as such may be hidden from public view at any time by an administrator (or in extreme cases, suppressed). Articles or files of which the only purpose is to attack, harass, threaten or disparage certain people or groups are speedily deleted. If you add hateful, derogatory, or bigoted content again, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Toketaatalk 16:46, 5 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Toketaa! Give WP:HA#NOT a good read before taking such serious action against a user who simply made an edit on an article (already far from WP:HA as it was only article content that was edited and the article is about someone long dead with the edit not targeting any individual users or groups). Also read WP:AOHA before making such serious accusations, as if they are unfounded they can constitute much more serious WP:HA than you might be alleging. jayhawker6 (talk) 17:00, 5 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I was reading filter log and saw 2 edits back to back with a hard R n word. Toketaatalk 17:02, 5 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Apologies, Ive just caught my little brother on my computer fooling around. Ill try to not let it happen again. Jigglecheeks22 (talk) 17:09, 5 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
WP:LITTLEBROTHER. jayhawker6, your post is completely mistaken, and not only as regards the edits caught by the edit filter. Are you acquainted with this vandal, since you defend them so inappropriately? Bishonen | tålk 17:18, 5 February 2024 (UTC).[reply]
Absolutely not @Bishonen. And yes, the user's conduct absolutely warranted a block, I do not mean to defend this user's actions. My question here is if WP:HA would be the issue at hand here, as the edits did not appear to have a specific target. Is the WP:HA policy meant to apply to (still absolutely unacceptable) seemingly undirected slurs? It seems to be for conduct against other editors, living/recently deceased people, and defined groups of individuals. Is it meant to be so broad as to make things better suited to different policy violations instead be defined as WP:HA? I have been looking for clarity on this distinction and am having a hard time finding any regarding vandalism vs harassment intended to put down a targeted group/individual. jayhawker6 (talk) 17:34, 5 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
So you don't mean to defend this user's actions, you're just worried Toketaa might be harassing them? OK. Bishonen | tålk 19:17, 5 February 2024 (UTC).[reply]
It appears you no longer intend to have a productive discussion, instead putting words in my mouth. I will be removing myself from this discussion now. jayhawker6 (talk)
