Managing a conflict of interest
[edit]Hello, Jharrington18. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page Julie Harrington (tennis), you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. This edit indicates that you may be the article subject. If you are, please cease from editing the article, per the above advice. ThatMontrealIP (talk) 05:22, 11 December 2019 (UTC)
- If you would like to correct items on your Wikipedia page, use the request edit template as above. Also, do not link to your law firm as you did in the article, per WP:NOTPROMOTION.ThatMontrealIP (talk) 05:29, 11 December 2019 (UTC)

[edit]Please stop your disruptive editing.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor, discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page, and seek consensus with them. Alternatively you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant notice boards.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing. Please stop editing your own page. We do not need article subjects to edit their pages. You may think it helps, but in reality it affects the neutrality of the encylcopedia.ThatMontrealIP (talk) 06:08, 11 December 2019 (UTC) ThatMontrealIP (talk) 06:08, 11 December 2019 (UTC)
Please do not introduce incorrect information into articles, as you did to Julie Harrington (tennis). Your edits could be interpreted as vandalism and have been reverted. If you believe the information you added was correct, please cite references or sources or discuss the changes on the article's talk page before making them again. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you. - Donald Albury 17:07, 11 December 2019 (UTC)
Your username
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "Jharrington18", may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because it appears to resemble the name of a notable person. If you are the real Julie Harrington, as you implied here, you need to provide proof of your identity by emailing [email protected]. Note that this is necessary only to protect you from damaging impersonation. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username by completing the form at Special:GlobalRenameRequest, or you may simply create a new account for editing. Thank you.
