Wikipedia has very strict rules governing copyrighted material. You can't copy/paste information from other sites, regardless of whether or not you know the person, unless you've provided proof of legal permission to the Wikimedia Foundation. Just a note, from scratch means just that. If you only change a few words here and there, the article will still get axed. I have removed the {{db-copyvio}} tag as it is now far enough away from the source to not be a copyright violation. However, the article should have references and the subject may not be notable.
