I've added the "{{prod}}" template to the article The royal family book series, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree with the notice, discuss the issues at Talk:The royal family book series. You may remove the deletion notice, and the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached, or if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria. I've decided to list the article at Articles for Deletion, as the issues of existence and notability remain. You're most welcome to contribute to the discussion there. BigHaz - Schreit mich an 07:48, 3 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The royal family book series[edit]

Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion pages. The notices and comments are needed to establish community consensus about the status of an article, and removing them is considered vandalism. If you oppose the deletion of an article, you may comment at the respective page instead. Thank you. BigHaz - Schreit mich an 00:11, 4 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Again, if you wish to express an opinion about why the article should be kept, please do so at the AfD page. Removing the AfD tag from the article or vandalising it in any other way does not and will not either help your case or result in the article being kept. A little more explanation[edit]

Since I know you are new to Wikipedia, I thought I would give you a little more of an explanation of what the notices at the top of this page mean, since I know they might be a little confusing.

The goal of Wikipedia is to create a worldwide encyclopedia that contains a wide variety of notable information. However, there are people from all over the world trying to include things that might not be as notable as they should be to deserve being included.

I am sure that you and your classmates and your family, are very proud of the books you wrote, that they are very good books, and that you were very excited to have the opportunity to write about them on Wikipedia. However, usually we include here things that are known to a broader public. Thus far, I assume that your books have not yet been published or received a lot of publicity. Therefore, they probably are not well-known enough yet to get their own article on Wikipedia.

There is a discussion going on concerning whether your article should remain in Wikipedia. You can participate in that discussion by clicking on this link. What you write there should be about why your books are significant enough to be discussed in this encyclopedia.

If the outcome of the discussion is that the articles aren't kept, please don't be upset. A lot of valued contributors here have had articles deleted, only for them to be be included later, when their notability increases. Also, you can contribute to other areas of Wikipedia as long as you follow all the rules and guidelines. Regards, Newyorkbrad 18:02, 4 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
