The article Jorge Colon Delgado has been proposed for deletion because under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners or ask at Wikipedia:Help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. --Slon02 (talk) 23:19, 24 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Satchel Paige[edit]

Thank you for your edits to Satchel Paige. I am curious, though, about one of your edits. You deleted the statement that said Paige won the most valuable player award in Puerto Rico in the winter of 1939–40. At least two sources (Van Hyning's history of Puerto Rico's Winter League and Tye's biography of Paige) say that he won the award. Are you saying that these sources are incorrect? BRMo (talk) 05:31, 15 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, both are incorrect. The MVP award was established in October 1941 by Mr. Frank Rodriguez, General Manager of Bestfit Clothing Company. The first winner was pitcher Barney Brown of the Guayama Brujos. The reference is El Mundo Newspaper, October 12, 1941.
