Billy Davis[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Ghmyrtle. I noticed that you recently removed content from Billy Davis (guitarist) without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Notice of Conflict of interest noticeboard discussion[edit]

Information icon There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Conflict of interest/Noticeboard regarding a possible conflict of interest incident with which you may be involved. Thank you. Ghmyrtle (talk) 08:31, 9 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

You haven't responded to the note above, but have continued to edit the article. Please be aware of this - ..."Conflict of interest (COI) editing involves contributing to Wikipedia about yourself, family, friends, clients, employers, or your financial and other relationships. Any external relationship can trigger a conflict of interest. That someone has a conflict of interest is a description of a situation, not a judgement about that person's opinions, integrity, or good faith. COI editing is strongly discouraged on Wikipedia....". Also, "Writing an autobiography on Wikipedia is an example of conflict of interest editing and is strongly discouraged. Editing a biography about yourself is acceptable only if you are removing unambiguous vandalism or clear-cut and serious violations of our biography of living persons policy....". The problem is that you are removing, or changing, information that is reliably sourced from independent sources. Editors here are content, of course, to remove information that is inaccurate, but you do need to engage with independent editors to ensure that the information continues to based on what reliable sources have previously published. Apology[edit]

My apologies to Jcbilly - I clearly made errors in editing that article. Hopefully, the article is now correct. I've responded more fully on the article talk page. Ghmyrtle (talk) 21:14, 15 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
